Bedworth

0-1 down h/t.

Very poor so far, but Bedworth are down to 10 men.

Bedworth are coping with the pitch far better than we are. We've had 2 chances, compared with Bedworth's 10.

Bateman needs to change it at half-tome or this could get embarrassing!

1st half we could have been 4 or 5 down before the red card to their number 10 and he deserved the 2 yellows, you cannot roll your foot over the top of the ball and basically stamp on a players leg!

We responded excellently in the 2nd half and fair play to Steve Bateman foe bringing on Swift, it helped us greatly. MoM for me, Warrington! I thought Bedworth looked a very good attacking side but you make your own luck and things even themselves out over the course of the season!

Well done boys, keep grinding out the results!

attacking wise they looked closest i have seen in this league to what Hitchin were capable of but defensively they were a mess and their keeper was not confident at all.

Warrington was superb considering the dodgy spell he has had like a lot of games this season without him theres no way we would have won

Swift changed the game or at least gave the shot in the arm we was looking for

as far as i could see their 10 was foolish and has helped cost his team at least a point it should have been 3 or 4-0 at half time to them but both yellows he took the man without little thought for the ball as far as i could see. why their fans were blaming the ref and not him at full time i have no clue

2 ugly ugly goals won it though i heard the 2nd goal hadnt crossed the line. however Swift i think it was corner went straight in before that as far as i could see and was somehow not given by the linesman

knew Northwood were capable of costing our rivals points at their place they were impressive when we won there.

WE ARE TOP OF THE LEAGUE SAY WE ARE TOP OF THE LEAGUE!!!!

If we keep playing like this Super Kev is going to have to treat most of the supporters for high blood pressure and heart problems! First half we were terrible although Bedworth were clever and gave us no time on the ball on a horrible pitch. James hasn't been happy with his form of late but today kept us in it big time. We could have easily been 4-0 down at HT as Bedworth carved out chance after chance through our non-existent defence. The Bedworth number 10 was silly. He could have been booked long before his first one for his spat with NBH and when going in on James decided to mouth off at the ref.

Second half I thought Swifty was fantastic and Sincs was an entirely different player giving their number 3 a torrid time. Difficult to know whether either of the two 'on the line' goals were over but the linesman was adamant about the second. An unlikely victory for the second home game running and if the mark of a good team is winning when you play bad........we must be world beaters!!!!

Found this on the Bedworth forum, I agree with very little of it:

after a first half performance when we out ran , out fought and out passed a top team how we left without a point is hard to believe!!!

To say we were beaten by the ref might be hard on slough but he was conned hook, line and sinker . Robbo was sent off for two yellows which were not even fouls . he gave soft free kicks for both teams then let unbelieveable challenges go unpunished. matty one on one on the half way robs the defender who them grabs him a tries to remove his shirt and he gives slough a free kick. there keeper drops the ball in the six with no one within a foot and another free kick.

we did not kill them off in the first half even with robbo gone. matty and mitchell should have converted at least one each and robbo got one more. they got two one yard scrambles from corners , i am not sure the winner was in either and they were crowing about it.

in the second half we didnt get the same rhythm about us . mitch murdered there defence first half but didnt get close in the second. there keeper was dodgy to say the least but was not put under pressure until the last couple of mins when in another one on one we didnt beat him.

hard to vent all my steam here but we must remember that first half performance , our battling throughout, their gloating supporters, that awful ref , keep believing how we were steam rolling em with 11 players firing together and even if we dont fullfil our season make sure we hammer slough at our place and put todays injustice to bed

Hard luck to steve and the boys . Keep the faith

Just uploading the highlights now. It would have been interesting to see the second half 11v11 to see if we had woken up after an abject first forty five in which Bedworth should have been out of sight. That said, we're grinding out wins despite not playing well and dominating teams. Long may that continue.

Well if there supporter was referring to the incident in the first half where "matty" ran into NHB and then tried to shove him out of the way, then I have to say that what he wrote is total rubbish. I was surprised their player wasn't booked.

From what I hear, "Robbo" only has himself to blame for getting himself sent off for two nasty fouls, and then for mouthing off.

As for our "gloating supporters", then I suppose we could learn a lesson or two about signing all the way through the second-half, and about how to be gracious in defeat from the Bedworth fan who told Sue to "shut her mouth" after the game!

Getting back to the game: For the second-half, I felt we were all over them in much the same manner when they were all over us for the first half. Bedworth should have been out of sight at half-time, but we could have been out of sight at the end.

I was surprised that Bateman made a substitution as early as he did, but it was the right one as I thought Herron had a nightmare today!

We were second to the ball in most areas of the pitch in the first half with Bedworth dominating the midfield thus enabling their forwards to run at our defence, especially when they played the ball wide into our full-back positions.

The sending off was warrented but crazy by their number 10 because he was causing lots of problems and as it turned out a crucial turning point in the game.

The second half started with Bedworth getting all 10 players behind the ball seemingly trying to preserve their 1 goal lead but once our first goal went in the momentum was with us and we always looked likely to grab a second.

MOTM Warro with a string of blinding one on one match winning saves.

Two very funny bits of "karma" today.

Their ten getting grief from behind the goal, then scoring (then getting sent off for a full reversal) to cue much "gloating" from their supporters

The handful of Bedworth supporters calling Warro "sh*t" in the first half only for him to produce a string of saves.

It's a funny old game!

Agree with the first line only. The rest is pretty much sour grapes and tosh.

I agree with Cookham Rebel that both Slough goals were over the line without any doubt. In the first half Warro saved three one on ones and the one that beat him from a brilliant cross might have been easier for him to have knocked away than those he saved. We had one golden chance in the first half. One of their officials was rather boorish calling James a cheat from the sending off which was well out of order.

As bad as we were in the first half we were great in the second half and should have had four too! Considering we should not have lost at home to Burnham, we should have won at AFC Hayes, and an average ref would have let our 'goal' stand at Greenford, we have had more than a share of bad luck.

If we can play the way we did in the sceond half we won't have any worries over the second half of the season. Can't wait for Beaconsfield.

UP THE REBELS!

It wasn't the referee's fault they missed at least half a dozen gilt edged chances in the first half and another towards the end that would have given them the draw. Had they not been so abusive towards James in the first half maybe we wouldn't have gloated so much when they managed to throw the lead away.
