6 goals at the recreation ground. Third Frimley goal seemed to cause some controversy, what do people think?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HMlJOMKzzQ4

Firstly good filmage TRS. From these highlights FG 3rd goal looked ONSIDE as the far WP player possibly left back kept the scorer running thru' onside....... ps: Woeful defending by both teams..!

well the ref approved it after some hard work by our lads but if we had played that game on a perfect surface it would have been a worse scoreline...bucks was top effort just to be there

being in top three doesnt mean you win 7-10 squat does it?

and you can extend rpvs poor form longer than that

What has that got to do with my comment? I asked what's happened to them, as in it didn't look like the same team they have had the last few seasons, they aren't up there in the top 5 like they consistently have been. Are YOU saying, that it is because of this whole 'cricket season'

And the fact people don't class them as a senior side, that players have left? I just don't get your point.

OK. You also put a report on the site as though you were at South Park v Wembley.

So how do you know so much about the WP side if you didn't see the game??

I have spoken to the chairman of FGFC and Mr Simmonds grand parents live 50yds away and of course his mother lived in FG so maybe this is why he plays there. Who cares but you are knocking them as if they are not worthy. Maybe one day he will make the big time like SP!! Or maybe Nice Guy is right he plays with mates. Either way I'm not interested as I'm neutral on this but don't be so arrogant about other clubs and whether they should have quality players.

MATTER CLOSED

**** off chuck berry. I play for SP, I'm not big time (not sure how playing for SP is big time, but seeing as you know Dan so well you'd know he has played in the CCL Prem) I played against WP 4 times last season so OBVIOUSLY knew their team quite well. I asked 2 simple questions, got a fair answer from the WP goalkeeper about them and a load of **** from you about Simmo, who I also I know. I see it was a late night post so you may have had a few too many but the matter certainly wasn't getting closed on a stupid comment like from an idiot like you.

£1800 a week budget? What on Earth makes you think it's that much?

Cos I know Roth.........

Ermm, quite clearly you don't Nice Guy.

As for calculations about gate money, the attendance was 239 but the concessions would have meant the receipts were well under £1000. (We have a lot of very old and very young supporters!!) ;)

Went to watch Feltham V Lammas Saturday in this little derby.

Feltham started the game off and within 11 seconds or so the were one up with a worldy strike from 20-25 yards leaving the keeper rooted and Lammas looking shell shocked! The game was pretty even with chances at both ends. Lammas were having the possession and spending most of their time in the Feltham half, but they couldn't break down a stubborn well working defense and midfield. Although they had most of the possession, Feltham always looked like they could get something on the break and were guilty of poor finishing or trying to walk the ball into the net! Leading up to the break Feltham were hit with a double strike to put them into the lead.

Second half was pretty much role reversed with Feltham having the majority of possession and at times camping in the Lammas half. Knowing the next goal could pretty much win the game it became a battle and got a bit scrappy. Feltham got their reward dead on the 90th minute when a very well worked team move led to a cross being drilled over and seeming to be too hard, but the young forward he had not long been on through himself through the air and stuck out his foot catching the ball on the volley about 4ft in the air and hooking the ball into the corner of the net. A fantastic goal and surely a well earned point.....Wrong! Lammas took the restart and flew at the Feltham players with 4/5 around the ball from the kick off. They broke through the midfield with ease and got to the edge of the box where it seemed the defender was about to crunch the forward in a tackle, but he slipped on approach and fell past the on rushing forward leaving him the time to take another touch, set and rifle in the bottom corner from 10 yards out. Queue Lammas 'get out of jail' celebrations knowing they had won it!

A decent game in the bitter cold. Feltham showing they can match their own despite a mass exodus of players recently and Lammas showing they can grind out results despite being poor on the day. Well played both and I'm sure the high amount of ground hoppers went home happy! B)

Final score Feltham 2 Staines Lammas 3

No disrespect to Frimley, but why is Dan Simmonds playing there? Also, didn't recognise many of the WP players, what's happened to them this season?

Dan sign for Frimley when I was there and it is to play with his mates.

Good luck to Ian he knows the area well and has got some good players in

I'll have a punt on this......I know why Milesy.......Dan, who is better than CCL Div. 1 is another player who likes playing with his mates !..........correct me if I am wrong !

I'm sorry to disappoint you Roth but ermm I clearly do know ! If its not then pray please tell me what the budget is !

If thats the case with the receipts being well under £1000 which I can accept your reasonings, where does the balance come from ?

One can only assume from the sponsorship which must be very good to keep the club afloat. My point is that It just seems illogical during this financial climate that you can allow FREE ADMISSION ! Lets say that's an immediate income loss of £1000 which could be more, as the attendance should be more playing Egham which becomes a top of the league clash, it just doesn't make economical sense.

I repeat its a nice gesture to the supporters, but to be honest, if they are true supporters they would not mind paying to ensure their club survives.

To lose that amount of income is either stupid or Windsor are in such a good financial position they can allow Free Admission ?

Dobo should have called the game off with the flu epidemic story, but then you have reserves to call upon !.......saw Windsors goals, defence looked dodgy mate ?

This is bizarre Nice Guy. What is it that you "clearly do know"?

If you "clearly do know" then you must be on the Windsor FC Committee. There you go Smudge, you've been wanting to unmask Nice Guy for ages and I've handed him to you on a plate.

Look, a nice Christmas present to the fans though it is, it would be naive to think the 27th is just a "Thank You" to the supporters. The Free admission day is obviously part of a longer-term strategy to attract publicity and new people to the ground.

You suggest Windsor would be stupid to lose the gate receipts of a local derby - but look at it this way - if 239 people last Saturday brought in say £800 gate money, plus say £4 per head on food / drinks, programme, that would have given a total of £1756 total receipts on the day. Okay if we got 239 for Raynes Park Vale we might expect 300 paying customers for the Egham game if it was not Free Admission. Not so many concessions might therefore mean £4 average gate spend, and £4 per head on food etc. which would produce £2400 total income.

If we get 500 on the 27th and they spend £5 per person on food, drinks and what will be a bumper programme, then, despite no gate receipts, that would produce revenue of £2500. (Many people will spend more if they don't have to pay on the gate.)

Ok, the non-gate receipts come with a cost but you'd imagine there'd be a damn good margin on the food, drinks and programme so 500 with Free Admission should still produce a very similar financial result to what might be expected if it was pay on the gate.

But it's the longer term benefits of new / old people attending a game that's where the real value for the club is in my opinion. That and the good publicity.

(All these figures are totally my guesses but I think they stack up reasonably well.)

The thing is mate we struggle with finance at the best of times so the club doesnt need the fine for not fulfilling the fixture. Other teams can afford the fine, thats why maybe the points should be deducted, when this happens I bet teams would fulfill the fixture then.

Also I pushed for a ressies team and thats what its for, you cant expect them to compete against a team like Windsor with their budget and resources laughable really.
