Wars v staines

Thought a draw would have been right.

One or two bright moments, Wars headed first goal was a good effort by McDiarmid.

Frenetic game with a backdrop of foul language from the dugout area.

Whyteleafe clubhouse nice and warm.

Good to see u to brunty !! It's shame we only saw u and rideout in the bar for beer, footballs a passionate game and everyone has opinions, a goal disallowed for u guys and a clear pen not given for us , all banter on the sides with ur gaffer giving it when u equalised so he had to expect some back at the end not excusing the bad language !! The replay at ur gaff we be something to look forward to now

Lammas were robbed of a point tonight. i didnt recognise some players for them tonight. were without Jamie O connor, Matt Baxter, Chris Bullen, Adam ridley, Nick hardy. thought they done superb with what they had. only remember Wars having 3 shots. Yes staines strikers are good but last two games they havent been good. should of buried eversley early on before they scored and same tonight. also love the f**k off to Staines you c**** by the wars manager! nice!

4-5-1 lets not have excuses with players missing, remember this is Lammas we are talking about who have the biggest and the best sqaud they have ever had......... lol !!!

What happened at Chertsey Brunty? That has to be the shortest spell at a club ever? Rinses mine at Wars!

Dual reg maybe Cardona ?

Maybe but he hasnt played for Chertsey in the last few games and in the transfers thread Redders has posted 'Brunty Chertsey to Lammas' so i'm thinking maybe not....?

Guys, the effort ruled out was deffo offside i was on the opposite side to the lino and bang in line so had an even better view of the defenders than him and i can assure you when contact was made for the overhead kick BOTH lammas players were offside, and thats a fact, so quit the sour grapes and man up. I too believe a draw would have been about right but some of the comments here are laughable, yes lammas keeper hardly had a save to make, neither did dilley in the wars goal, one good save in each half was all, the final ball in the final third and the control of the forwards on both sides was woeful !!! It was a poor advert for a top of table div one clash

Cards I saw Brunty play for Chertsey against Barton Rovers on Tuesday. In the clubhouse I heard that Brunty had been missing cos of illness.

It seems that Brad Smith may have taken the place of Pomroy at Badshot Lea as Poms also played for Chertsey against Barton, or could he actually be signed on Dual Reg ?

I'm sure JJ will explain in due course.

Thats what I was told in the clubhouse Brunts. Anyway the feeling that the Chertsey people are supportive and realise that form here is going to be a struggle for the players but their hope is that they stay away from a relegation battle and avoid relegation, but supporters can be fickle as we all know but hope they support JJ thru' thick & thin.

Brunty, JJ who's the new assistant manager ?

Pomroy has left Badshot Lea and staying at Chertsey !

Just to clear 1 or 2 things up here on the CCL forum:

Pomroy has signed for Chertsey from Badshot Lea

Brunty is dual registered and needs to keep his fitness up as he has not been available for 3 saturdays running, so I was happy for him to get a run out with Staines Lammas on Wednesday. It will not be a regular thing!

Trevor Norris has been appointed as 1st team assistant manager/coach and brings a wealth of experience and contacts with him.

Trevor Norris ? Is that the ex: Cove and Camberley manager who was also Aldershot and Fleet youth team manager and believe he did a turn as Fleet 1st team Assistant manager ? Any relation to Nogsey (Paul Norris) ex: Banstead manager ?
