WHATS going on i hear MR TOWNSEND is back there i thought he was down at Ampthill. And was one of there best players.

 

I also see that warren garcia as left aylesbury is this because townsend as taken his place ?

Our regular central midfielder is suspended for 2 games, Craig was the perfect replacement, just a shame that he got injured in the first half and even more of a shame if it is a serious one.

 

Where has Garcia gone then? Or is this just recycling an old rumour from when he turned down a 7-day approach a few weeks ago.

I see there is a thread on another Forum where someone is looking for information on when Aylesbury United hosted an England XI, which included the likes of Bryan Robson and Chris Waddle, prior to the 1988 European Championships in front of a record 6,031 at Buckingham Road. I can't say that I recollect the game:

Shame about the pitch, nothing has happened to it over all these years. One town, one club will it ever happen again?

The pitch was terrific. It is so sad to see the ground the way it is now. Talc I hope that Aylesbury United can get back in the town and get back where they belong, but I don't think any merger will ever happen I think Vale will prob disappear in a few years, no crowds no money now really.

They were meant to build on old peoples home on it and some houses but it never materialised. Can't understand what the owner of the land thinks he's getting out of it to be honest. Instead Aylesbury have to travel to play shame really.

Hmmmmm no I think that's just you and your lack of knowledge. Other people remember the big crowds, promotion to conference, Fa Cup and Trophy runs, the great football etc.... Need I go on? I'm sure green duck could list achievements, notable players and managers all day long. You didn't even know they had played host to England the ONLY non league club EVER to do so.

Oh and according to some Rhodes doesn't talk nonsense!!!
