Yes Tooting Bec play on the outside pitches and yes Crescent play at Wallington, but the guy who puts the money in (totally forgot his name, it is late !!, Roy something or other) also had a link with Croydon Athletic and I am led to believe two years ago he approached the council with a plan to build a new stadium at the top of Purley Way (the airport side) where Croydon Athletic would have played and Crescent would have moved to Mayfield Road, but needless to say it was turned down.

 

Not cast iron but came from a source within that I trust completely (a fellow Crescent player from the mid seventies, yes I am that old, I know I don't look it !!!)
