Will we ever have a new ground and when?

Its called having a laugh. Lets face it, since they restricted this forum to members only, we haven't had any p*sstakers from other teams on here to row with. I miss our spats with the Wealdstone, Aveley, Gt. [****!!****]ering fans etc. Bring back those days I say!

Anyway, these couple of gems from Nigel D have generated 10 times as many postings as there usually is on here. And don't deny you haven't been checking every few minutes for his latest installment! Anyway friends, duty calls, I have work I should pretend to be doing, better get on with it. Cheerio!

You were waiting for me to go to lunch so you could have a good ol' barney on here, weren't you? You naughty little Urchins!

Well if you was loyal you WOULD be at every game!

I haven't been to every home game this year.

Also, if my livlihood depended on me working during the weekend than quite franky football would have to take the back seat while I went out to earn money for the government (hmm, something's not right here ).

Very true LMU. If you have to work till after 5pm and you have an away match at Kettering, Bedford or Basingstoke for example, it's virtually impossible for you to get there in time especially if like me you don't drive.

I've been to every Canvey home game this season (although I will miss a couple when I'm on holiday in November) and try to get to as many away games as possible but it is difficult when you have to rely on the club to run a coach to get to games.

Looks like I missed a riot on here today, just been reading both threads and having a good laugh, damn my work and not being able to join in.

A couple of points, I'm not looking to start the whole ding-dong up again, but;

Urchin Man, congrats on getting to every game, you obviously have the time and money to do so, so good luck to you. However, how do you describe loyalty? Just because you go to every game doesn't necessarily make you the clubs most loyal fan. What about the guy that has little money, a family and a job that involves long hours? He sacrifices more to see one game than a guy with plenty of cash and with plenty of time on his hands?! Like LMU said, she hasn't been to every game this season, nor have I, doesn't make us any less loyal than you though my friend. "Well if you was loyal you WOULD be at every game" Rubbish I'm afraid mate! And mate, you're slagging off a fella that dreams of us one day becoming an extremely successful club? He's set his sights high, good luck to him. But you slagging off fellow Urchin fans for being dreamers??? Not very loyal mate?!

JFC, you're entitled to your opinion, but if you feel this site is "(the) usual kid's chit-chat we get on here from the squeaky voiced children that sit in the Riverside", then may I respectfully suggest you don't visit here.

Nigel D, good luck to you mate, the skies the limit here, dream on and one day, who knows, it might just come true! Who knows what the next year, 5 years, 10 years, 20 years, etc, etc, hold in store. You’ve certainly got people on here talking, I reckon 150 replies to your posts! Keep it up, I eagerly await your next instalment!!

My two penith to an earlier point.

re the running track.

The club would be extremely foolish to get rid of an extra resource like a running track, as the venue could be used to attract other sports which would benefit the club!

Short sighted view to get rid of it, just to put up a stand that would be empty.

theres a few interesting points raised on here unwittingly perhaps....

the council have never bothered with the stadium for 50 years and let it go to ruin....we came along and ressurected it and they were happy to let us get on with it....

so we did....recently the council have been making themselves very busy wiyth inspections and such like and one wonders why...

oh...whats this...Mr Livingstone putting together an olympic bid....dear me....stadiums are required....

one day we will build our new stadium...thats a promise....sooner perhaps than you all think...in the meantime we have one of the best grounds with the best facilities in non league football...lets enjoy it.....we're making history....we can win this championship...believe me...

see you all saturday.....
