Dagenham & Redbridge holding up the football league. Crowds dwindling too, just under 1700 now. Even AFCH would get more than the 1200 they got for a home FAC v Walsall last week!

Get back in the Conference Daggers!

The gate of 1700 was mainly due to Port Vale only bringing 200 supporters with them. D&Rs core support has held up remarkably well considering their recent results, possibly because they are a genuine family friendly club where mums and dads can take their kids knowing they wont be exposed to yobbish behavior.

Mums?

Mums?

Why not, I probably see more mums with their kids at D&R than any other ground I ever visit, and I only wish non league clubs shared the same values of zero tolerance towards bad language.

Interestingly, half a dozen of us intended going to Bridge Avenue on Saturday, but changed our minds after reading all the nastiness aimed at RFC on this forum.

At least you considered it, I think it's more than any of us have done towards RFC :biglaugh:. It is of course a dieing shame you didn't attend but I think we can live with the dissappointment.

One thing I would say is your statement implies that at least six of you read our forum.......interesting

Yes, totally agree Hasbeen. Why would any supporter of a football club feel the need to ground hop unless of course they are dissatisfied and not fulfilled with their adopted team. It's a bit like a married man playing away from home.

Why keep going to D&R? Is it a back up plan in case RFC go belly up?

Dagenham did very well to get as high up the leagues as they did, but I didn't think they could sustain it.

I think there's been a few sharp comments about Romford on here, but I don't think that (most) of us want Romford to disappear. It's just the groundshare issue (which has already been discussed to death on here), that is something that a lot of Hornchurch supporters don't want to happen. If Romford do somehow get into Westlands or end up groundsharing at Rush Green or stay put at Aveley then good for them.

As for the 'Yobbish' comment, that's clearly just spiteful. it's an open forum though and (within reason) you're entitled to put whatever you want.

I think we know that Mr Fence can be somewhat conservative with the truth. The statement previously about being on the Hill and all around him ashamed of antics on here and now 6 of them were going to come to watch but were too upset. i for one don't think so.

Am I right in believing he was a Union official in a previous life? If he was I'm glad he never had the chance to represent me!

The yobbish comment was not meant to imply any club in particular, its just a fact that D&R have made an effort to clean up their act with regards to attracting families, something I have posted on our forum, and various others on numerous occasions.

Going to D&R or any other ground is not a back up, its just nice sometimes to watch a match without caring who wins, and without driving long distances to do so.

Romford supporters threatening to boycott the Bridge. Yawn.

With regards to the Mums can you imagine the scenario .....

Mum: " what shall we do today kids? I know let's go and watch Dagenham & Refbridge"

But mum I'd rather sit on the naughty step
