FT- South Park 0 Windsor 1

First half was 0-0 and pretty boring with not much action. Second half Windsor started brightly and the South Park keeper pulled off a couple of worldy point blank saves. Then Park went down to 10 when Lavery got a straight red. From then on Windsor pressed and pressed and got the winner 10 mins from time.

Fair play to Park though as they didn't give up and could have equalised late on. BAWA came on and did well and cracked the inside of the post from 25 yards. Their no2, although 4 foot is a great little player.

SP unlucky. Could have been different with 11 men a piece for 90mins.

He was my MOM against Diss last week!!

Hanworth Villa 7-0 Dorking

My first visit to Hanworth and an afternoon to forget for Chicks. It all started so well as they looked the better side and should have been ahead before Villa scored from a free kick that McBride possibly could have done better with. Nearly missed it myself after moving due to the very low sun! Second was a straight forward pen. From then on Villa were in control and in the second half pretty much looked like scoring every time they went forward. Dorking were a little lucky to finish with eleven men. Cox was very fortunate not to get a second yellow for a challenge (he'd have definitely been booked if he'd not already had a yellow). Then McBride was booked and proceeded to applaud the ref. As the ref walked towards him I thought he was going to get the yellow out again, but maybe he took pity bearing in mind the scoreline!

Bullivant only made one save all game that I can remember whereas SP's admirable 'keeper (great banter!) made 4 miraculous saves at point blank and 3 or 4 shots / headers went just over the bar.

Great win.

Croydon 1-2 Ash United

Freezing cold day at the Arena and the match did little to warm the cockles in the first half. Ash took the lead in the 19th minute from what looked like an own goal during a goalmouth scramble. Less than two minutes later and the Trams equalised through a stunning edge of the area volley from Daniel Nwanze.

Half-time and a chat with usual captain James Cecil where he explained he was banned as he'd had a letter through saying he was suspended due to something that happened in 2008! I hope Croydon don't get all those points since then taken off them!

Second half was a better spectacle as the game opened up. Both sides were going for the winner and there was a slight edge to proceedings not really helped by some of the officiating. Ash were looking the stronger side though and after several excellent saves, the Croydon keeper Francis Ameyaw sadly let a fairly tame cross drop from his fingers and an Ash player tapped easily home. There were 10 minutes left and Cryodon pushed hard and even hit the post but were unable to rescue a point.

Overall, on this game I'd say the teams were of a similiar level. Think Ash could do with a striker as they created enough chances second half to finish the game much earlier. Croydon seem a little lacking in skill and guile but on this evidence both teams have enough to steer clear of the dropzone.

Have to say, everyone was very friendly. Lots of hellos and so on to me from complete strangers plus someone passed round hot bread pudding in the stand at half time. Not a great place to watch football but at least everyone there seemed to be having a good time. Two young lads were on ball boy duty and they seemed to have their routine sorted as the game was hardly ever delayed. I don't blame Smudge for ball-boying while he was here as at least then you get a decent view of the game rather than be sat half a mile away!

Massive win for Eversley today and we were too hot to handle going forward. Going into the last half hour with 10 men we defended with immense guts and hit Staines on the break to go 4-0 up with the Lammas grabbing a consolation in the last couple of minutes.

We haven't been at best in the last few weeks so to be honest would have taken a point! Hopefully we can kick on from here. Have to mention Shelley in goal who I'm sure Redrup will agree was outstanding today.

Agree with that . As we warming up would have taken a point with a few late drop outs but fair play to the side for work rate. Staines on top for first 20 mins and Shelley made some good saves then a great strike from day put us ahead . Kleblo header a min later for 2 0 ht. second half we expected a onslaught and when we get player sent off .( not sure about it everyone from eversley would say not but staines would say yes)caught staines on break for two goals.baker then day again. Great result.

Then Park went down to 10 when Lavery got a straight red.

Does this mean he misses the Whitley Bay game? :(

Based upon suspensions now starting 21 days after the offence and it being a 3 game suspension, then you will need tohave 2 games called off after the new year for him to miss the game.

What a massive result today for the club......i couldn't make it due to work but have heard it wasn't the best performance but the result was. Also tongue in check the manger asked me when he got back to the club if we could play Croydon every week.3 wins out of 3

Was at Spelthorne v Wars yesterday, decent game but slightly dissapointed with overall entertainment value from two if the better Div 1 teams. Both teams cancelled each other out but think Wars will be happy to come away with a point as thought Spelly slightly shaded it overall and had better possession but without really creating many chances. Towards the end of the game it seemed as though both teams had settled for a draw......would of been nice to see either go for the win. On this showing I dont think either have ut in them to finish top 3. Impressive win for Eversley yesterday though smashing Lammas 4-1 in their own back yard.....I see they even played most the 2nd half with 10 men!! The Lammas boys seem a bit quiet following yesterday's defeat.....how does that old chant go......"you only sing when your winning". Perhaps the biggest and best Lammas squad needs to get bigger and better?!?! Current Div 1 top three is how I see it finishing come the end of the season.

Sheerwater 3-3 Westfield

Lesson for our side today not to take things for granted. I think after last week’s great performance too many of the lads thought they’d just have to turn up to win. Saying that after a bad start we were 3-1 up at half time and seemingly cruising. Crucially we missed 2 sitters in the second half which would have wrapped the game up and credit to Sheerwater they never gave up and got back into the game before equalising with 5 minutes left. To be honest they looked the most likely to find a winner but all part of the learning curve for our young side.

Good luck to loop and YV and I’m sure they will start climbing the table over the next few weeks
