Wih regard to the naming of officials, as Mewie quite rightly stated, (as usual), there is no secrecy.

Anyone with a copy of the League hand-book and access to the twice weekly League bulletins can check on who their officials are/were. Even late amendments are included, thanks to Whitelaw.

"3 different men in black would have made it a completely different game" could imply that the officials were the reason they deserved the points. Many things can be lost in translation Nathe. We all hate losing, that is part of what makes someone a better player. I was simply pointing out that even with the worst officials it's not comon practice for them to be bias towards one side or the other, particularly all three men in black. I am sure they didn't get together at half time and say that they wanted Guildford to win so would make it easy for them. They beat you 4-1 at Spectrum as well didn't they? Seems consistant to me.

Smudge I agree officials at out game wernt bad (probably got more stick than they deserved if I'm to b honest) but we shud defo have had a 3rd peno late on when ur goalie clipped our player not the ball in a one on one. Think ref was worried he knew wud have had had send goalie off as well.

Spoke to Ref after the game about that incident, where I thought like yourself to be honest. He stated that it was a collision, and the keeper was there first ,the lino agreed. You do have some passionate supporters who could tone it down abit, but overall your boys done you proud.

I have to agree with the above, it's the FA that set the fines for yellow and red cards. Although I'm sure some on here will disagree I bet if you looked at all the cards dished out by referees on this league, 80-90% would be more than justified. If a player kicks the ball away and picks up a yellow card is it the referees fault that the player is going to get a £10 fine or is it the players fault?

With yellow cards I would like to see the FA double the fine for dissent to £20 and reduce the the £10 fine currently set for reckless tackles, persistent infringements etc. I would be interested to see whether this reduced the amount of cautions for dissent, personally I think it would and I think it would give the clubs no choice but to ensure their players clamp down on it.

Smudge the fine for a red is £35 not £50.

OBSERVER I think your find it is £50 for a straight red, less for 2 yellows.Surrey F.A. do not have a large Bank Balance,it is all ploughed back into Grassroots Football, and of cause recruiting new Refs, which in turn gives them a HEALTHY BANK BALANCE in years to come.A win win situation.

Another good win for Croydon last night against Raynes park! Another team in and around us who we have beaten! 3-0 the score and to honest could have been 5 or 6 but we will take that on the pitch that seemed very heavy, Vale had a couple of half chances along with a penalty miss which was saved by our keeper but other than that a comfortable win! Goals from Jason Thompson,RIVERS (debut) and Jamie Marriott!.

With regards to milesy post an comments after I have to say that the ref last night was awful. Lino was to blame for first goal as was offside be they can happen in any game. Guildfords second goal was bad defending and good play by Guildford and probably deserved to take the lead again at that point in the match. The ref wasn't on Guildfords side first half and made some bad decisions against them and as a park player I even said to him last night tht he got that wrong but we would take it. Second half it was the penalty decision against us that cost us which clearly was not a pen and the excuses the lino gave to me was awful intent to foul when all was doing was standing up to block a cross. Guildfords fourth goal defending error by park put the Guildford play in on goal. Guildford well deserved the win last night but all I think south park posters in here are trying to say is that if it was a different ref the game would have been much more enjoyable to play in outcome may have been the same but it would have probably been a much more entertaining game and enjoyable for the supporters.

The ref walked straight off the pitch last night before players an management staff an didn't come in bar after. Good luck Guildford for rest of season.

BAWA. You've got that about spot on.

For others who have complained about Guildford's whining last night I think BAWA has shown why that may have happened, no excuse I know. In general our players' behaviour towards referees this season has been greatly improved. We have only had 2 players cautioned for dissent so far this season - 2 too many, of course, but I bet not many clubs have had that few.

Re the South Park sending off. That was a second yellowwasn't it? In which case can you claim mistaken identity as we all know he showed the card to the wrong player. If the club put the culprit forward then he will only get a yellow surely. I'm sure someone will quickly come forward if that is wrong.

Ref - G Collins

Asst Refs - P Maskell & A Hudson

All way out of their depth

Was this not the same Referee who got assaulted at Guildford last year. Why did he allow a sent off player,to climb over the railings amongst spectators, rather than walking straight across the pitch to the changing rooms. Will he be fined for not attending post match,Croydon Municipal where at Farnham 2 years ago.

i believe this was the ref who got assaulted last year - i don't know the circumstances surrounding the assault.

As for why, who know's there was lots going on the pitch - maybe the assistant who spent the whole match in front of the Guildford dug out chatting to them should of spotted it!!

Unlikely they'll be fined, officials are probably held to different standards over this stuff

Only my opinion but I feel very disappointed at the naming of the officials on here.

They are three very competent officials who I have had the pleasure of working with before and would have no problems working with again.

They may or may not have had great great games last night but I am sure that they gave honest decisions. Without doubt officials make mistakes in all games but not every decision that players/managers complain about is wrong

I am not sure what you feel there is to gain by naming them publicly.

We have enough pressure put on us without needless unwanted (in this case) publicity

Smudge I am to believe this is te ref that got assaulted last year I don't know much about that so can't comment. Regarding the player leaving the pitch I don't know what it states in the rules but to be honest the Guildford player that did leave the pitch with the player sent off in my option did the right thing at the time because the player was really angry and may have done something he would have regretted so the player that left the pitch with him clam him down and just made sure he got into the changing rooms.

The Ref in one of our games the other week threatened to send a player off after the game if he didn't walk back onto the pitch to shake all three of the officials hands.

As for not staying, well they should be treated the same as clubs when they fail to show. Midweek game or not, it's out of respect to the hosting club!
