Colchester deserved the win but Hornchurch gave a good account of themselves and we had a few minutes after our goal where we dominated until they scored again. Not bad as we were down to 10 men for most of the game.

 

Sending off was madness, an appalling decision. Ref got conned by their no 23.Great goal from Hunt who came on in the second half and made an impact.

 

Joe Anderson was excellent, Ronnie had a good game and it was good to see Elliot get some time under his belt as well.

 

Colchester's second goal was a good goal, the goal of the game unfortunately.

The official team sheet had several numbers incorrect and I doubt whether the announcer was aware of this - as Sid has probably gone to bed by now, I will post the report onto the forum. For anyone who did get a team sheet the Colchester line up was also wrong. Jordan Sanderson was not in the starting line up - it was Jason Ricciuti (I think it was a late change that was notified to the referee).

 

I did not realise that Elliot was booked - I thought it was Tommy Black, but will have to ask Kel for confirmation.

Fairly sure that Colchester said Tommy Black as well.
