Not so sure,Although it probably is in a state of disrepair it is only 7 or 8 years since Ford utd hosted Port Vale

I think it could probably be done in all honesty but they would need to act now not in 3 months time

I would think that maybe Thurrock could offer a share if the price was right,As for Aveley,it appears Grays have asked them meaning Romfords future there must be in doubt

Wonder whether Mr Fenn will be at the meeting on Thursday to voice his objections?

Oh Alan, how wrong you are.Romford back in Havering doesn't bother us whatsoever, what bothers us is Romford turning up at Bridge Avenue again, riding roughshot over the place because they apparantly have all the fecking history.

I speak for 95% of Hornchurch fans, possibly even 100%,myself included when i say i hope you lot get your bottoms in gear and move to westlands but as the days go by it looks less and less likely.Too many of you thought the hard work was done by getting permission for the move, since then i have seen on your forum that there seems to be little get up and go with regards to finding the forum, ironically, the one person who comes up with decent ideas is always laughed at by the moderator and others and thats you,but to be honest you don't do yourself any favours with groundshare & merger talk,so when you do come up with a decent idea they seem to ignore it.

To be put it in perspective it no matter what the name of a football club and it's perceived history cannot be counted as a serious concern really when only 100 or so people turn up to watch the games. This is made up with about 30 hardcore fans (who do a valiant job in keeping together), friends and family of the players and the rest is what we are all fighting for be it Ryman North or Ryman Premier. You have to ask what it is you are trying to achieve. Grays are playing snakes and ladders, Romford are stagnant. Aveley have the ground but little else and so on. Be content with what you have and make the most of it and try to enjoy each game. If not stop dreaming. We would all like to do a Wimbledon but you need a wealthy backer or sponsor and about 1000 or so regulars.

Romford shoot themselves in the foot.

They want progression but are stuck in ryman one north. They Claim to not pay their players, which i believe to an extent but to progress the simple fact of the matter is you have to pay players something,or at least some of them.Even ESL Clubs have a budget and players will not stay at a club when better offers come along. Its all very commendable to try to do things on the cheap but it simply don't work, even with Mourinho or guardiola in charge you wouldn't progress to the Prem which is where you suddenly play in front of bigger crowds on a more regular basis.A big crowd for Romford is playing in front of 154 fans at home when there is a big push to get a crowd in.

I can't see Grays playing at Rush Green next season. However if they did I could see how that would upset some at RFC

Romford back in Havering would upset Hornchurch even more.

And why would that upset us? You for one have recognised that your fan base is diminishing and ageing and your team is hardly setting the world alight.

I'm confident that even if RFC started playing their home games over Upminster park it would not have a detrimental affect upon us

Now theres an idea..........jumpers for goalposts ? :biglaugh:

The reality is that rfc will never again be in the position where the support will reach the heady heights it did in the 70's. Move on and support your club in the best way you can Mr femme but accept where you are and enjoy it. We all did in the ESL.

Have heard that Grays will definatly be playing at Rush Green next season and then on land in thurrock the year after, that will be there new ground,if ready in time.

Very strange situation that 7 senior clubs will be playing senior football nearer Romford than Romford actually do,

AFC Hornchurch

Grays ath

Dagenham

Redbridge

Barkingside

Barking

Ilford

Apologies if i have missed any teams out.
