But surely that's how you work your way up to a top blue sqaure or league club is to prove yourself a little higher first

 

I think we all saw the difference in class / professionalism in the AFC Totton v Bristol Rovers cup tie which is why you are absolutely right.

 

difference is for players on the mainland it would just be a matter of changing clubs, for players from guernsey it is changing everything, having to find new accomadation, new job ( often much lower paid then on island ) it is quite a move to play at a slightly higher non league level with no definitive progression to top level. all the player seem to have brought into what guernsey fc is trying to achieve for future generations and where possible want to be part of this exciting project.
