Horace - The Hertfordshire County Senior League disappointingly lost 2-0. Do you think the Herts squad consisted of too many players from different Club's and if there was no training session before hand it would have been left hand and right hand on the day of the game whereas I expect the Sussex County League side were well drilled:

Rubbish! The Herts squad had two friendlies leading up to the game, winning both comfortably, including 4-0 against an Oxhey Jets Side. Sussex were the better side, using the full width of a superb Top Field pitch very well. Also I think that there was an element of the "awayday" bonus, of a big day out in a nice coach etc for the Sussex lads, a bit like Ampthill going to Lancing.
