I feel something is really wrong here....cause i actually agree with Donkey 1-0 GFC, Cobham will want this game as they beat Guernsey last time of asking, but they are a different animal at home.

 

Tight but still a home win for me.

Edit - I was down at Footes Lane this morning doing my duties and the grounds staff have done an excellent job with the pitch. We have had a LOT of rain, but the pitch looks excellent. They started at about 7.00am I believe !.

Yes Maisie the Cobham Keeper was definatly Man of The Match !

 

Goal of the match was Ross Allens goal from kick off in the 2nd half when he beat half the Cobham team and then fired into the bottom left corner !

 

We played brilliant today. Well done lads !

Yeah I did see that but scrolling right to get to each games goalscorers isn't a great use of the web IMO! Thanks anyway.

Thought Allen has something like 40 in 25 games!

 

As for the Cobham keeper, deserved man of the match, can't be often that a keeper concedes 6 but gets man of the match! Hope he heard the massive round of applause he deservedly got. Is he on here or can someone from Cobham point him here.

 

It was a weird game, I some ways Cobham did not deserve to lose so heavily, but then again on on anther day guernsey could have had 10! Hit the bar, defo penalty not given.

 

Crowd of 1019 is not bad when Christmas shopping has to be done and the fact Father Christmas was switching on the lights in St. Peter Port!

I spoke to the Cobham keeper after the game and told him he played very well. I also told him he should have milked the applause after the game a bit more as he was last off !

Ross has 39 goals in 21 competitive starts and 2 substitute appearances. With a number of home games to come and some of our better creative players returning from injury (Rihoy and Dyer) I wouldn't be too surprised if his tally reaches close to 2 per game by the end of the season. Injury permitting of course.

Does anybody know how many goals last season's top scorer scored, and what is the highest tally in a season in Coco Div 1?
