Windsor Expresss Article: New Signing

I doubt it'll be Buchanan unless it's a loan deal, which would be plausible but still unlikely IMO.

Personally, I'm praying it's Hodges (more through hope than expectation) but whoever it is I hope he's not another short striker!

I do enjoy speculation and wild guesses!

Won't be Ian Hodges unless he's move back from Cornwall.

Buchanan played and scored for Newport in their last match so doubt it's him. Besides why would you go from full-time in the Conference to part-time in Division 1.

It's not Lloyd Owusu as he played for Hayes and Yeading on Tuesday night.

When I read the newspaper today,I immediately thought it would be Ryan Bird, given the fact that Burnham now have Keiran Knight and the other Owusu[Julian] up front,as well as Lewis Driver[ex Holyport].

Also Martin Stone says in the last paragraph in a Slough Express article, quote 'it's great to have three strikers who are a real goal threat.'

He doesn't mention four strikers ie Ryan Bird !!!

Forgot about Matthew Platt,though.

I'm not certain but I think Ryan Bird has been playing in defence for most of this season.

Yes I know that but does he like playing there?

I reckon now that we've discovered that neutrinos travel faster than the speed of light, Bateman has cracked the secret of time travel and we've gone back and signed Mark West in his 90s pomp and whilst he was there he picked up Gary Abbott as well. It means we've got five strikers and Bates has a major selection headache but we'd be guaranteed goals goals.

Out of all those mentioned, I think Platty would be the best signing.

Wait......

didn't Hendon just release Byron Bubb :(

I think Bubb signed for Bedfont

indeed he did therefore we will be seeing him probably today just not for Slough thank god

reading the article again it reads to me that the "exciting player" is not necessarily a striker. it mentions the talks with the player and then is followed by talk of a new keeper (hopefully it is Jacko it seems it possibly is) and there is also talks with a striker? does that mean its not a striker at all?
