I mentioned before in the Forum about creating an area within the East Side by sectioning off a portion. I think you should think further on this. You talked about grouping the away support together for Thurrock rather than having it fragmented and I feel that the same problem exists at home.

I would like to see the East Side squashed in a little and I feel the acoustics would be better particularly as the crowds are thinking out a little. You could even charge an extra £1 to get in. This would help to pay for the conversion and then go towards something else.

Im sure the devoted East Sider won't object to this. Thoughts?

I just think on Tuesday night games the crowds are low, many of the regulars on the eastside have disappeared for one reason or the other, there just isn't the numbers there on a Tuesday that there is on a Saturday.

I don't think it's where we stand that's a problem, think it's just numbers, the eastside is very rarely packed, some have outgrown it and sit now, others have stopped coming.

Last night arsenal were charging a tenner, some went to this game, west ham were also playing and no doubt some people watched that on the Internet

IMO until all non league clubs adopt a zero tolerance policy on bad language on the terraces, pitch and bench we are all damaging our prospects of attracting families, and our future generation of supporters.

Credit though to Hornchurch for realising you have a massive problem, and talking about ways to alleviate it.

By shuffling along twenty feet or so is dealing with it? If numbers are dwindling in the East Side perhaps you need to deal with the root of the problem. Whilst abuse can be funny at first, it is damaging overall to supporters and players. No worries though.

A number of people have stopped going because, like myself , have moved away. Treeboy, Westie, Hammers are three that come to mind straight away.

Also its the money that was spent over the bar that the club must be missing. I used to get through £100 on a home saturday game and about £80 at a home mid week game.

You couldn't move in that bar just before and after the game. The Urchinett's still managed to keep every one's glass topped up.

the good old days.
