Tonights game

Recommended Posts

A strange game really. We started slowly and Cray looked the better side and raced into a 2 goal lead - Although both goals looked to be pretty poor defensive errors from my vantage point at the other end of the pitch.

The turning point came with the sending off of the Cray left back. I didn't see the incident clearly but the ref obviously did as he had no hesitation red carding the guy. Those nearer said it was for a two footed challenge with both feet off the ground. It also meant that their number 11 who had been their best player going forwards was pressed into service at left back, which I thought was a tactical mistake by them.

Harrsion got us back in the game finishing at the far post after good work by May and Onwubiko put us ahead after Andy Walker's traditional shocker. 2-2 at ht and with them down to 10 we always looked favourites. Swaine headed us ahead from a corner minutes after sending a similar chance over the bar. Walker moaned that he was impeded by May but that doesn't change the fact that Swainey was totally unmarked. We hit the woodwork a couple of times for good measure and were able to play out the remainder of the game reasonably comfortably. Cray stuck at it and to get a win there, especially from two down is a great result.

Saturday is a big game, but its much bigger for them than it is for us - Its almost a freebie now and a win there would put us in a great position.

Well done lads, another great result.

Come on you Blues!

A fantastic three points for us made all the more important by other results.

Cray were on fire first 15 mins with good passing an movement, we got back into the game with a goal by Harrison,

Then Allan Mcleod, who must have thought he was wearing a magic cape that allowed him to fly, committed one of the most miss timed timed and worst attempts at a tackle I have ever seen, He flew through the air with both studs up at a height of about 2 feet from at least 6 feet away, he was so late that (thankfully) Junior was at least a yard away, and the ball another yard in front of that.

The ref had no hesitation in issuing Mcleod his second straight red in as many weeks

We have made it very difficult for Lowestoft on Saturday, They need a win, but can't afford to lose

COYB!

Ha ha,love the confidence.

You are certainly the team to beat at the moment,we are playing well away from home, just struggling on tuesday nights at the bridge.

Still, happy that we are playing you lot at yours first on the 27th december,if we play like we have been on our travels it should be some game, certainly confident about getting something there with the way we have played away so far.
