Nearly half way through the season...........

will Royston and London Colney continue to run away with their respective leagues?

can Winslow put a decent run together to justify their budget or can Mr Nice Guy help Totternhoe to glory?

can Hanwell cheer up Savagebee?

will St Mags be able to cope with the loss of NF?

can Stony avoid joining SPS in the drop from div 1 and really pi55 off Winslow Boy?

For me its...

champs

Royston

relegated

Holmer and Bigg Utd

champs

London Colney

r/u

St Albans ressies

relegated

SPS

Amersham

Aston Clinton

The following is taken from the Welwyn Garden City v Kings Langley programme of the 10th December 2011.

STARGAZING WITH THE EDITOR

Let’s begin with the Molten Spartan League championship races. Well apart from our own division I can foresee some close run races. The Premier Division will remain a battle between Royston Town and Dunstable Town with the North Herts club, fully motivated from an excellent FA Vase run, taking the title.
The Division One race looks to be already settled with London Colney flying high and despite a slight blip around the Easter period the side from Cotlandswick finish seven points clear at the end.
For those in Division Two we are in for an exciting climax, Aston Clinton, The 61FC (Luton), Totternhoe and Winslow United all figuring as the race goes to the final day of the campaign with Aston Clinton securing the title following a goalless draw at one of the struggling sides.
As for the relegation battles then I see Hatfield Town and Hanwell Town saying goodbye to Premier football with Sun Postal Sports and Buckingham Athletic losing their Division One status.
The major cup competitions sees silverware heading to Haringey Borough (League Challenge Trophy), Royston Town (Premier Division Cup), Ampthill Town (Division One Cup) and Winslow United (Division Two Cup). For the Citizens there is success in the Herts Senior Centenary Trophy Final when they defeat London Colney 3-0 thanks to goals from Joe Brunt, Leigh Nymm and Darren Till.

We don't have a budget BUFC never have one season we did a £10 win bonus but couldn't keep it up. But can we put a run together is certainly the question. Quality in the squad is there

BUFC loving the stony shout, I wouldn't mind if they avoid the drop on merit. I'm sure the lad will help them no end. Tik Tok are still going so I'm safely pi$$ed off for the season anyway lol.

St Mags have prospered massively from my decision, first team have crept up the table and the Vets have now won four on the spin!! Does sound like they could've done with an old head on Sat though.

What's that NF Saturday's or Sunday's ? Had a run out myself the other week but couldn't move for 3 days afterwards. Could get back into it again though, as long as the shirts are a bit roomy round the midriff ! ; - )

It might keep me out of the pub & bookies.

don't forget Ampthill still have to play London colney twice. It's still in our hands, although it's quite annoying when they keep winning often by the odd goal.

Saturday Vets with St Mags, Sundays I play for Winchmore Hill in the Garston Vets League which is a better standard. We're often struggling for players on Saturdays so if you want to come over and have a look then feel free. We're at Hartham Common this Sat 1:30 meet 2pm kick off against the mighty Mangrove

I'd always hoped you would end your career at Lowfield......
