Yep, it was indeed Terry Back and our very own Paul Millington.

 

Basically, Terry admitted that Enfield FC would be playing their reserves for the game. But we got plenty of propoganda for the match, and hopefully the attendance will be boosted by this.

 

And, get this, the phone lines were crammed with over 40 text messages which were Enfield related and they did not have enough time to read them out!

 

Luckilly, mine was though, and it read - "Enfield FC are running scared by playing their reserves. They would lose even with their first team. Come on you Enfield Town!"

 

WAAAAHEY!!!! <img src="/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> I can't wait for this match!!!!

Indeed I did hear the interveiw and both Paul Millington and the Laz voice piece (sorry Terry Back); both are running scared and it is obvious they are not looking forward to the game. Trying to dismiss it when a lot is at stake.

 

They have indeed looked at ways to mitigate the loss of face after the match.

 

May the best team win. Looking forward to it.

Just heard the Paul Millington/Terry Back interveiw.

 

I think Terry showed a slight lack of respect to the people of Enfield,that verged on excuse-making, before a ball has even been kicked....well done Paul,for getting you points across in a calm/educated manner.

 

Twice the interveiwer discribed EFC as the 'senior' team...Yeah ,until next season.

 

Concidering EFC arn't taking the game seriously,They did well to get 10% or their fanbase(ie..3 fans) to text into the show.

 

Finally ,Even though Back spoke for no more than a minute....He still managed to get in an '[****!!****]-licking' comment about Lazarou.

F.A cup matches(before the first round proper) only require fencing and turnstiles.

 

We were waiting for conformation of minimum ground requirements,before deciding on the design of the stands,but as the Ryman league havn't got their fingers out yet,we have decided to order them anyway.(ie..the delay was because we were waiting to hear from league,..we still are,in fact.)

 

 

When talking about Terry running scared.....We're saying he's putting himself in a no-lose situation.....Lose,and he can point to the fact that he put out a below strengh side....If they somehow manage to get a result (whilst playing a below-strengh side) Double -bonus.

 

He didn't have the courage to go head-to-head....first team V first team.(Lazarou's orders,no dout.)

 

And all this crap,about thc MCC not being a priority...Well,once they drew the Town,his priorities should have changed (In the same way, that if Rangers/celtic Man Utd/Man city played in a minor cup, they would probably put out a below stength side,but if they drew each other,the fans would demand they give 100%....But as Terry seems so insular now,he probably can't see past his and Lazarou's personal priorities.(to hell with his own fans pride).

 

I thought Paul made a good point, about how you think EFC would want to put on a show,concidering it's their first game back in their OWN borough for ,for so long.

10th November is the delivery date for the stands. Old stand should be moved hopefully for Felixstowe game (yes I know I said that before for the Carshalton match - you never know it might happen sooner). We are dependent on The Brimobau stadium owners.

What is that smell - Ah yes bull ****! Scared you should be with only 37 fans for a FA Trophy match! It is an insult to the competition. How many did we have for the FA Cup 501. hmm!

Stands ARE ordered and delivery date confirmed.
Covered area soon to be put up.

How is EFC's long term plans for a ground in the borough going ?

Maybe some should ask the FA what the requirements are. When the form is filled in back in March/April you have to state what your ground is like at the time. NOT what it is going to be like in the furure.

 

How could you state in March/April that you had Seating and cover when at the time there was nothing and it is still not there today.
