So enjoyable beating Potton. Don't usually come up against teams that I really dislike but they were very easy to dislike.

Whinge about EVERY decision even when it's blatantly obvious the ref got it right.

Best whinge of the night was when the ref played advantage in our favour, we didn't gain any real advantage so the ref pulled it back. Their bench went crazy saying he'd played the advantage so he couldn't pull it back. I did try to explain to them that's the idea of playing advantage but they just assumed that the ref changed his mind. Very weird lot.

We played their reserves a few weeks back and beat them 7-1. I have to say I found them to be the most hospitable and pleasant club I've visited in years. Perhaps there is a difference between their first team and reserves though. Incidentally, I came on as a sub and nearly scored after 90 seconds!! Damn defender cleared it off the line!!

MIDDLESEX SENIOR CHARITY CUP Second Round

4-2 Bedfont Town v Cockfosters (Att 40)

(H): Wayne O’Sullivan (33m & 58m), Danilson Vincente (75m), Reis Stanislaus (80m).

(A): Anton Lewis (23m), Aaron Cato (89m).

A report from another's Forum:

Middlesex Senior Charity Cup Rd 2

Bedfont Town 4-2 Cockfosters Att-40

With Wealdstone's Trophy replay being tonight, took the opportunity to revisit The Orchard on a lot warmer night than my previous visit last December.

Cockfosters opened the scoring midway through the first half - a header from a right wing free kick. The lead didn't last long, as the Bedfont No 11 was allowed to run in on goal and head home past the keeper (Cockfosters defence nowhere).

During the 2nd half, Bedfont's speedier forwards took control and added 3 further goals to make the tie safe. Cockfosters' 2nd, a minute from time, was the best goal of the night - a stinging 25-yarder into the top left corner.

Not a game to live long in the memory despite the 6 goals.

Wednesday 30 November

DIVISION ONE

0-0 Crawley Green v Bedford (Attendance 30)

A brief report on this drab sounding affair from another's Forum:

CRAWLEY GREEN 0, BEDFORD 0

Oh dear, Oh dear, I attended this one as well, expecting to carry on a 92 run match without a nil_nil. Boy, was I sadly mistaken!

Don't forget the missed penalty by Bedford in the second half! The rather mouthy number 7 is also the Bedford manager. Seen Bedford twice now and will try to avoid in the future, although both teams didn't look that good last night.

I've also got Langford pencilled in for Tuesday but may look elsewhere after that performance. Couldn't work out why they left Robbie O'Dell on the bench either, unless of course he was carrying an injury.

Funny old game football but I'm not laughing after last night.
