Blinkered report?

The first post on the Ashford forum about today's game is a strange one.

 

'What a poor side Slough are'

 

'Ashford played all the football with 80% of the game in Slough's half'

 

'After Ashford's 1st goal Ashford continued to dominate play'

 

'Overall Ashford were easily the better team'

 

'I wouldn't want to watch that rubbish every week even if they are top of the league with 7ft tall defenders'

Who cares anyway, we are top, jealousy or what!

 

They may have had a fair amount of the ball but don't all the top teams in any division, defend well and hit on the break?!?!?

I'd rather watch Slough play like that each week and pick up 3 points than lose.

we must be doing something right to be 21 points above the mighty Ashford Town so early in the season!!

Although at the end of the day I feel we were somewhat fortunate to come away with three points, I honestly feel we have played much worse than that this season.

 

I was stood with some Ashford fans whilst filming during the first half; let's just say that they are a little bit biased (every decision that went against them was crap, all our tackles warranted yellow cards etc)!

It might have been a good game for a neutral!! The football was poor in honesty and I can understand Ashford being a bit miffed as they did have the ball for long periods although without really doing that much with it in the final third. Yes, the third goal was a screamer - I was lucky enough to be directly behind it so knew where it was going as soon as he hit it. Fantastic strike.

Would rather see us with 7 foot defenders than that some donkey sub who cant tap in an open goal from 3 yards!
