Thanks for clearing my points up guys. I don't have a problem with the floodlights as they give off excellent lighting, I was just curious as to the actual bulb positioning.

The thought of the height of the advertising banners being to high had never occurred to me. Thanks again!

Enfield Town (1) 3 Hope 15, 55(p), Osei 67

Soham Town Rangers (0) 0

Attendance 420

Enfield Town: Enfield Town marked their first league game in their new home in exactly the way they would have wished. Liam Hope opened the scoring with a shot deftly curled into the bottom corner out of the grasp of Soham keeper Dan Burcham. It could have been worse very quickly for Soham as a shot from Mark Kirby was cleared of the line. Soham eventually rallied late in the half and Enfield were fortunate not to pay for their missed chances. The visitors could have levelled when Tom Libertore was allowed to shoot but fired over the bar. Dubi Ogbanna had an even better opportunity for an equaliser but his shot went the same way.

Enfield started the second half looking to kill the game as quickly as possible. Chances came for Hope who had a shot blocked by Burcham and Jon Moore saw his effort from the follow up cleared by a defender with Burcham beaten. Hope got his second, this time from the penalty spot after Michael Ewang was brought down by Martin Bromwich. Further chances fell to Moore and Leon Osei, but the Soham goal led a charmed life but it was not to last. Lee Allen proved to be the key to the third goal when his cross from the right cannoned out off the inside of the post. Frustration turned to delight as Leon Osei was on hand to fire the loose ball home and kill any chance of a Soham comeback. It was just as well, as Soham’s Demy Escorcio had two great chances late on, the second rattling the cross bar.
