Not a very good first half. Didn't seem to be in the game much and wasn't to please to see us concede from a goalie error.

We played better in the second half, so i thought, and think we was a bit unlucky not to get a win in the last 5 mins or so.

However on wards to Saturdays FA Trophy game and being positive (unlike some) hope that we will get a win!!

Firstly,am relieved to get a point from that game.We didn't play well at all first half and although Carshslton looked the better side in the first 45,1-0 was probably a fair reflection.

Second half we were the better side but still not upto our usual high standards that our players have set themselves. We have had a few injuries of late and I think our recent run spate of injuries may of caught up a bit with us tonight but Carshalton are a very good side who WILL be in the shake up for the play offs come April. We are not going to win every game and while we could of won it tonight a draw was probably fair over the 90 minutes.

Attentions now must turn to Saturday where we are capable of beating thurrock

Not the best of games, Hornchurch couldn't get going tonight. Better in the second half. We didn't lose and we're still up there.

Great goal from Frankie Curley and some good play from John Hunt.

Onwards to Thurrock in the F.A. Trophy

From a neutrals point of view it was a dreadful game to watch apart from the last few minutes, when either side could have snatched it. The way Hornchurch play might be effective but does nothing to attract new supporters IMO.

I don't think the pitch helps, looks a little spongy from the sidelines but I may be wrong. Carshalton closed us down quickly in the first half.

They are not a bad team.

A positive was the crowd over 200 for midweek.

How are Romford playing?

Alan, you have seen two of our worst performances this season on cold dreary nights

While I agree yesterday wasnt a terrific game I don't think it's the football that's going to stop people coming to the games. Not sure what the crowd was last night but it seemed better and a good trophy win Saturday should see a decent crowd again next Tuesday.Hopefully we will see a better performance although we do seem to struggle on our own pitch I think it's a matter of just getting out of this league first and foremost

I must also add that we have injuries all over the place. Our centre back is playing right back, our captain is injured,Michael Spencer is injured, smith is playing with an injury,we have a small squad and on Saturday could only name 4 subs, don't even think tuohy is 100% at the moment and even players like reiss Noel have been carrying injuries.

As for the pitch,it has never been the best but it is a decent pitch at the moment compared to some in this league although I do wonder at times whether there is something psychological at the moment about playing our best football on it?? When we have played on decent pitches like Hastings,Lewes, wingate we have destroyed teams with ease,we are just not playing with the same confidence at home although I do put this down to the injury situation and the ones playing not being able to get sufficient rest

I thought Carshalton tried to play attractive football against a very fast and physical team, which couldn't have been easy.

As you asked, Romford are playing some great football going forward, but unfortunately this leaves our defence more vulnerable. Great entertainment value for neutrals but I sometimes think a few boring one nils would be nice as well.
