Newby, when you do your badges, i recomend the army. www.armyfa.com They are far far better than County FA's and cheaper to. I think krooner will agree??

You may as well do your level 1, but you wont learn any technical details till you do your level 2. Level 2 will actually make you a better player 2.

If you want to teach youngsters, after your level1 do your youth modules, I want to start my UEFA B in summer but I know I should really get a youth module in first somehwere. What do you learn in youth modules Krooner?

I have only done the introductory to Youth Modules Luke. It looks really good though and looking forward to doing them. By the look i owuld go for doing up to Level 2 of the normal ones before moving onto the Youth modules unless you never intend to coach children.

Newby,

I don't know if its the same in all counties, at youth Level some Leagues at certain age groups only play 8 a - side, but to do a level 1 badge you have to coach a 11 a side team, at Level 1 you need a CRB and to pass your First Aid course, the F.A also do workshops for you to take part in, basically to see signs of abuse the horrible side of it so to speak.Level 1 is basic and Level 2 is alot more in depth and these course's are normally sponsored by McDonalds they normally give you 15 balls ,brochure's , bibs etc etc its a very good.

Clubs normally encourage thier Coaches to do these course's and F.A certified workshops. But to recap you need to do these basic things to progress.

Hope this helps if it makes much sense.

You need CRB just to manage a Little League side...

I coach an 11 aside team and the club pay for CRB to be done every year and payed for my level 1. Level 1 doesn't take long to do as it was 3 Saturday sessions and 2 midweek theory sessions one of which is first aid. It is quiet easy and very passable as there were some people on the course who couldn't even kick a ball or who had no interest in football just doing it for some achievement.
