Ash Utd v Crystal Palace Monday 21st November 11

Yep correct................Ash United 4 Crystal Palace 1

took the lead just on halftime but then Palace levelled midway into the 2nd half. Then soon after a nasty injury (looks like a broken jaw & concussion & Everyone at Ash wish him a speedy recovery) to Crystal Palace centre back saw them have to reshuffle, which Ash took full advantage & soon went back in front. Then in the finally 5 minutes we scored 2 well struck goal to see us into the next round & a home tie against Woking

It wasn't exactly a case of reshuffling, Palace had already brought on their subs so when the player was stretchered off they were down to 10 men for the last half hour. As for the injury, what was the ref thinking? The guy jumped at him from 2 yards away with his arm outstretched. How it wasn't a red card, I don't know. If in some incredible way the ref had judged it accidental, it would at least be understandable, but he gave a free kick so must have judged it a foul. Up to the usual standard of officials in the Surrey Cup.

Bit of a hollow victory, quite frankly.
