Possession-wise we were overrun.Kingstonian probably had 80% of the play, did all the good work but couldn't finish (luckily).

A couple of great saves from Overland & then we race away to commit daylight robbery in the last seconds of the game thanks to a superb run & cross by Birchall.

I should be pleased & of course I am (in a way) & any win is a good win,,so they say, but his one wasn't .

More performances like this & we shall be in the bottom 4 sooner rather than later.

The very vocal Kingstonian fans must be shell-shocked at not only coming away with nothing but for not going home with all three points.

For those that are going to say to me "hey we won so why the negatives" then sorry, but todays performance was very poor & the result can't disguise the dire performance out there today. We need massive improvement .

On this form & with Ramsgates desire to win on Tuesday we shall lose any bragging rights if we continue in this form.

Yes 3 points is 3 points but................................................

Agree on most points and we were "very" lucky towards the end, but I have to say why were their fans louder than ours - is it because we arent allowed to sing or is it because our fans dont know how to sing or are just scared.. someone answer please???

Wasted Matt Bodkins talent today just leave him on either wing and 1. make the opposition mark him and 2. pass the b ball to him.

MOM Simon Overland kept us in it. However the team played it was still great entertainment no dull games here this year.

Nervous and heart wrenching will be the toll this year. :(

Not there-so can't comment on specifics-but were we 'overrun' because we just have not got enough numbers/quality in CENTRAL midfield to take a hold on the game ?

Perhaps i'm simply wrong-but i have maintained from the season opening that this is the one position where we fall short.

Still- delighted with the win-lucky or not-and i am sure CK in his interview will say that there have been plenty of games where Margate dominated but came away with nothing.

I'm sure he will Michael & he would be right. However the negatives cannot be ignored today whatever the result.

As for the midfield & i.m.o.the players are there, they just were'nt doing their jobs.Or should I say too slow to react. In fact all over the park players were slower to the ball, giving away (once again) niggly fouls (maybe because they are a split second slower to the ball than their opponents),never winning the initial header but quick enough when it suited them to just kick the ball away, anywhere.

There were times when we ventured into their area & when we did we looked dangerous. Kingstonian though, with a 2nd worst defensive record with goals conceded were there for the taking & we should have bombarded their defence & built up a good lead but we never got going until that last piece of genious from young Burchall.

I'll say no-more but hope to see big improvement next time out.

they say the sign og a good team... not quite saying gate fall into that category yet... but gate are certainly scoring enough goals, just need that consistancy...

Its easy to say things like this but take points say win and a draw in the game in hands and a win against Thurrock... all of a sudden we are top half table going into xmas... given how the last 2 x seasons have gone, if that was a premier league team... we would all be saying what a good job they have done... long season my overview.. could be better and think as the team gels, as my preseaon predo was mid table, playoffs next year...

Feel that Appiah is bit of van persie, hope he doesnt get injured or snapped in Jan

Such negativity. Hey we won when a draw looked likely but deserved a bit of luck after some results this season. Could not believe we went in 1-1 at half time after being best team and comfortable for first 45 mins, What a soft pen. Accept we were second best for last 45 but good defensive display. Kingstonian are a good side imo and you can't expect to dominate for 90 mins.

Looking forward to Tuesday night and hope we put a strong team out.

Today just proved what I have been saying, possession is irrelevant at this level. It's all about how you perform in each box. Kingstonian were not unlucky - they conceded two poor goals* and didn't take their chances.

* I was at the other end for the winner but their defence did seem alarmingly easily beaten from where I was standing.

Was pleased that Burchall was responsible for creating our winner, think he deserves a starting berth as he always seems to put in a good shift when called upon (though who'd you drop to include him in the starting line-up? The dilemas of Management eh?).

I must have been watching a different game then!

Yes true Kingstonian did have a lot of possession in second half, but apart from a point blank save just after half time did they really threaten us that much?? I thought our defence stood up well to the pressure, Captain Cloke having one of his better games with Dean his usual conistent self. When they were breached Simon was doing the job he is paid for. (which is more than can be said for Tolfrey who was at fault for both our goals).

As CK said there have been games where we have dominated possession and not won.

Agree with Dave though Bodkin not used enough on the left. When he went on a run their defence had to upend him to stop it.

Unsure why all this doom and gloom! A good display does not always have to be attacking free flowing football.Sometimes you just have to dig in which was the case on saturday. i feel the defence deserves some credit .Kingstonian were big and physical and yet in the first half i thought we were on top.If that was a penalty then every game would have half a dozen each end!!

We then had the normal second half with them on top but as has been said already you cannot dominate a team at this level all the time as there is never much between the teams..Granted the second 45 was not fluent going forward but we stood up well at the back which has not always been the case this season. certainly think the back four look more comfortable with overland behind them.

This game is about confidence so hopefully the lads will take a lot from the result and push on as from what i have seen this season we are a match for anyone!

just look at the Chelsea/liverpool game yesterday...2nd half was all Chelsea possession near misses etc etc they were bound to score then Liverpool get a break and score 3 or 4 mins from the end and more or less the end of the road for AVB. Bottom line is it's sometimes not pretty to watch but would rather have the 3 points at the end of 90 mins.... plus ! Give the boys credit they kept going and with pace of AB he is always gona cause problems for a defence. Ok at times we were outplayed and they looked good but who got the points :P
