CHATHAM TOWN V ENFIELD TOWN

Fantastic week for the Town.

Two consecutive Saturday away-day matches and six points in the bag. Not bad eh !!

Looking very promising in the run-up to Christmas with three home matches next.

Well done again to Steve and the players.

Let's not forget thats also 4 games in a week we've administered with very acceptable success. A win today after 2 full backs were injured in the first 15mins, which shows a good bench and on the spot managerial decision making. Pleased for Daniel Ailey too, he's made himself effective in a different way today with the winner.

Hat's off to the team/coaches and those who made the journey and brought back the 3pts safely home.

Absolutely right EU. After that number of matches and all the euphoria surrounding the mid-week Spurs match, it would have been very easy for the players to lose focus. They didn't, and to comeback twice from behind says a lot about the will, character and determination of this squad of players. There is a lot of character and belief, and they are on a good run of results. If they can maintain this level of performance, they will be in with a very good chance this season.

Too be honest we played a "get out of jail free card" on Sat. The defence in the first half appeared to have never played together before and we were lucky not to be 4 or 5 down at HT. It did appear that there was a hangover after the euphoria of Wednesday night. The fact that we battled back to win shows the character of the side to "win ugly" althoguh the sending off helped with this. It wasn't the great performance that people seem to believe that it was but i'll take another 20 of those if that means we get promoted come May.

Weird stat spot!

The gate at saturdays game was 203...

The gate at BOTH of the last games against Chatham in the League was... 203!

I wonder how many were at all three games?

And don't anyone bother saying 609.
