Saturday 19th November (Fixtures & Results)

Recommended Posts

We stuttered at home against them but we were down beyond bare bones and comfortably beat them away in cup again with a much weakened side. Always expect a tough game but they are beatable and you lot have started on fire and form and consistency from the start in this div is key

The same as you we are really struggling to get a defence out at the moment. All of our back four injured 2 hamstring 1 should 1 groin so just a little worried about this coming Saturday. I'm sure you might have figured out we had a slight problem after our result on Saturday. We tried to score more then we conceeded but failed!! It would be nice for once to put out the same team 2 weeks in a row.

Wouldn't it just???? I saw Woody was playing thought he was at Thame now? seen him crop up for Aylesbury FC too and no doubt Bierton and or Bucks CC lol. Had more clubs than Nick Faldo that lad. Just found out our player of the year last year Bobby Cooney CB is out for season. Our casualty list is ridiculous I have never known anything like it!!!! hopefully by Jan we should have most back just need to stay in touch till then, Adam Richmond is signed and available which is massive he just needs match fitness. Game vs Buck Ath sounded like a brilliant one for the neutral.

He's promised me he's staying so hopefully he will. Great player on his day. For the neutral your right they it was enjoyable. It was just 5 defensive errors that wouldn't have happened if we had out usual back four .I felt we had a good chance of winning that this year but your only as good as your last game (had to say that). You'll be up there no doubt very soon once your squads sorted.

Spoke with John Bacon today and he said they were comfortable in the first half but once the hosts pulled back 2 quick goals after the break they did well to hang on.

Whilst I think of it, did you read that Saturday's Bundesliga game between FC Cologne and Mainz had to be called off when the Referee, namely Babak Rafati, tried to commit suicide in his hotel room and a replacement Official could not be found in time before kick off. Have you ever heard of this happening before.

I did read this. The game was called off because both teams did not think it right to play nor did the Assistant Referees.

First time I have come across something like this.

nor did the Assistant Referees

So if you arrived at a ground to find that the Referee had tried to commit suicide would you feel it in-appropriate to play the game even if a replacement Official could be found at short notice

What planet are you on Rhodes - I suppose if it had been a player your attitude would have been "well you've got substitutes"

Agreed a quality player there were whispers early on he was coming to us, tell you who we are missing is Chris Hill!! (shame we couldn't keep Matty Hall, his bro looks like he has a big future at West Ham) I've heard the gaffer is in talks with a few quality players but of course I'm sure in the back of his mind he knows he has so many to come back in at some stage he will have a selection headache, but if quality players are available you have to go for them right? As for being as good as your last game I hope not in our case lol. Every year I hope it will be our year in the B&B but we never seem to be able to put the run together for as far back I can remember even when I was playing and before that!

You could do as you like with the game. I wouldn't officiate on it.

I'm just thinking of all the FC Cologne and Mainz fans as apparently stadium staff were not informed of the news and postponement until 45 minutes before kick off when the stadium was already almost full, it must have been a difficult decision to make particularly with lots of Mainz supporters having made the 100 mile trip.

Unlike you, I'm sure the fans would have understood and accepted the reason for the postponement.
