Well Done Slough away support

Yes undoubtedly! It's all new to the town, to have a progressive football team with ambitious management.

Before the new stadium was built, we had two teams locally, (St Neots and Eynesbury Rovers) both playing UCL step 5 football, struggling to hold their own at that level, with minsecule attendances. This is the highest level our home town football club have played at! Anyhow, if your not a season ticket holder at the big boys (I'm an Arsenal fan for my sins) it's near as damit impossible to get tickets for the headline games!

Sounds to me like you have a load of part-time charlies who only turn up for big games if your average is c.350 yet you get over 1000 for some games!

The games we got over 1000 at last season were local derbies and with well supported clubs like Kings Lynn ( who get 650 at home average)

None of those type of games this season with large away support.

Was'n't the biggest gate last season the Hitchin V Arlesey match 1500 or so? I also think there was over 600 at Arlesey earlier in the season for the same fixture!

You're right. The final game of the season turned out to be the title decider and drew over 1000 to the league game at Top Field.

Now we're pretty much halfway through the season I thought I'd have a look at the attendances for our away games again. We've played ten away league games and in every one it's been the biggest crowd of the season (so far) for the home team. Of those ten games the lowest percentage increase over the home team's average was 27% at Northwood (183 versus their average to date of 134) and the highest was 54% at Marlow where there was a crowd of 261 (against their average to date of 119).

The overall average crowd increase for Slough games over the home team's average crowd (if you're allowed to average averages!) is 43%. Long may this continue.
