NG, players don't have any say in what cups the club enter and sometimes clubs don't either for example the County FA competitions.

Country Cups are non-optional (a fine if you choose to withdraw) likewise the League Cups. The FA Cup and FA Vase you have to apply to enter. The Southern Combination and Aldershot Senior I suspect are invitational and clubs do not have to enter if they do not want to.

When SL and I ran Frimley, we used the Southern Combination and Aldershot Senior to look at fringe players

Dorking 2-0 Sandhurst Town

Important 3 points for Chicks. Both goals in the first half. Ramsey scored first following a Dunning long throw, second scored by Hyett who couldn't miss after a fine cross from Smith. Fizzers had a lot of the play second half but overplayed a bit at times and Chicks were dangerous on the break forcing a couple of good saves. Didn't recognise a few of the Sandhurst players to be honest and seemed to be one or two key players missing.

I believe only 2 players from the start of the season are left at Sandhurst.

I was looking at all the cup games last night and I find it incredible how many cups there are ! its madness ! I hope we don't go down the route of entering them all because it would severely hamper our chances of climbing the non league pyramid.

I really must have a stern word with you, TRS !!

Two consecutive games you attend 'The Bank'. The first match, WITH camera, where we lost John McBride, and payed the penalty, losing 1-5.

Then, last night, you have the sheer audacity to turn up again, WITHOUT the said camera when we achieve a 2-0 win. I really must have a word with the gate staff.

Incidently, Tim Brewster was in goal last night, and I watched most of the match beside John McB. He hopes to be fully recovered by next Saturday.

What Bommie ? Please, I know the players have no say in what cup their respective club enters, all I'm saying is that if the club pays to enter a cup at least the players and team should strive to win it as opposed to trying out players, players returning from fitness etc.,. Go out to win it and get a friendly or loan out players to get fit after injury. I just think that the team cheats the club if they do not take the Cup seriously 'cos its only a Poxy Cup !...... don't F***ing enter in it then if thats going to be the case !

If every clubs treats each competition as a 'Poxy Cup' it devalues cup competitions, I even state this for the professional clubs.

Might not be poxy to you newby cos your a winner but obviously poxy to the club because they wouldn't of made 11 changes.

Managers decision to make 11 changes Reds, but the club/chairman should stipulate to the that they entered the cup to win it ! Not just to give guys a game, you can do that in friendlies !

Westfield 6-1 Reading Town

Ripped them apart - should have been double figures.

Why they enter this competition i dont know? we beat their first team at same stage last season so this year they send 3 1st team players and the rest reserve team some of which were very young.

Still can only beat whats in front of you and we gave runout's to a few returning from injury so all in all a good night

Seems like they had a Bucks/Berks Senior Cup game the same night where they beat Wokingham & Emmbrook away 0-1.

I looked at him and said why are we in them? He laughed as bob does!! Just look at hanworth villa for instance, I know the vase and fa cup has put them behind on league games bit like last week we played them in some army cup when they could catch up on games.

No excuses, Kroons.

We now have two superb keepers in John and Tim, AND young Warne who can step up from the Under 18's at any time.
