This was a match against 10 men for nearly the entire 90 minutes.Last 10 or so v 9 men but even then we had problems at the back at times BUT dealt with them very well & the defence maintained their concentration levels to come out comfortable winners.Good performance I agree.

I was rather hoping though that they would kick on from there & concentrate similarly in future games. Alas the inconsistency (the only consistent factor we can make claim to) came back last night it seems. Just need to be more consistent,to play two games in a row in a similar fashion, to concentrate for the full 90 mins,not be naive at the back & to kick on like we did on Saturday rather than have teams come back at us.Am looking,& hoping to see them do just that in our next league game on Saturday.

Can we get two league wins in a row?

 

I really dont take a lot of pleasing you know...not really! Well, not at my age I don't!

Defence and keeper need a good talking to after last night. It was embarrassing the amount of time Met Police seemed to have in and around our box; both full backs caught out time and time again; and the keeper seemingly reluctant to claim anything in the air.

 

The opposition looked appalling in the first twenty minutes, and it seemed a case of how many we were going to win by. We can't ever expect to achieve success when we throw away leads so regularly, especially against, frankly, such average teams.

 

Some home truths, maybe, but after travelling to the ar*e end of Surrey on a Wednesday night to watch us capitulate like that, it had to be said
