Cracking performance by the urchins who although with 6 regular first teamers out and another 2 carried off in the first half (Spencer & mcsweeney) with two diabolical challenges on them, were way too strong for thurrocks first team.

Good support, well over 60 urchins there, probably more but they were all over the place.

Justice has been done to be honest

Thomson sort it out!

As for tonight's game, well... not too pleased about being mugged off £12 for an ESC game!

No wonder why they don't get many people through their gate at that price.

We were the better team and deserved to win even though it did go to penalties at the end.

Did not like Thurrock's thuggish style of play, ref didn't even card any of the players. One of which should have been a red and the second i think a yellow!!

Hope our players that have been injured make a speedy recovery!

Just wanted to say a couple of things about "justice" being done.

The game was agreed for the Monday night by both club secretaries after your draw with Harrow Borough and our defeat to Tonbridge Angels. You then printed this in your programme for the Harrow Borough replay. After we had issued all of the dates to the appropriate media, referees and Essex FA your club decided that they didn't like the date due to the fact that we had the Saturday off. All of this evidence was supplied to the Essex FA, which is why they agreed with us around keeping the original date. The fault for the date of the game does not lie with either Thurrock FC or the Essex FA.

I would also add that I have absolutely no hatred towards AFCH and I am not trying to score points, just furnish the facts. You have the three biggest legends (And legends is not too strong a word) in Colin, Jimmy Mac and John Purdie to have been involved with our football club and I can't wait for the FA Trophy game.

Congratulations on your victory last night and I look forward to seeing you all on the 26th.

Economical with the truth there from what I understand.

What you say is correct although we agreed to the Monday game because we was told you had an FA Youth Cup game tonight (tuesday)

When we found out that you didn't,it appears that we was then told that the game should stay on the Monday because 3 of your committee members had tickets to watch England tonight (Tuesday)

Mine and others gripe is that as you didn't play Saturday,it APPEARS that you had an unfair advantage and it also APPEARS that maybe the game was played on the Monday to give you the best chance to win, gladly for fair play it seems that this didn't work, even with the majority of our first team left out.

This game should of been played 2 weeks ago but we agreed to let you keep your agreementto hire out the pitch therefore putting the game back.

Of course, this is just what I have heard but I see no reason why our club would make this up.

Not been to Thurrock for a while but it is a pleasant enough ground nowadays and despite everything that APPEARS to have happened in the build up,it was a pleasant enough experience.Your further comments would obviously be appreciated.

I do not doubt that we had an advantage by playing Monday with no Saturday game. I am sure other clubs would try to do the same and I would not blame them. The issue lies with the fact that the clubs agreed to it. In our position we would not have agreed to it. As for the Youth Cup game, that was scheduled for this week but was moved at the request of Hayes and Yeading. I am not sure if this was rescheduled before or after this re-arrangment.

The England tickets were acquired after the agreement of the dates which is why an issue was made. However, the Essex FA made it clear that this had no impact on their decision.

Re economical with the truth, I would say that both clubs have tried to give the situation that puts their club in the best light and your statement on the website was a bit inflammatory I thought. I just wanted to respond to the comments about "justice" being done etc.

The England tickets should have no impact, your committee members should be focussed on Thurrock not some meaningless friendly for England,it certainly shouldn't be used as an excuse to keep a game on the Monday.

Your FA Youth Cup game was cancelled before we complained about the original date, this game should of been played tonight, especially as we played Saturday and you didn't,that just isn't on.

I would also go as far to say that our two players who got carried off last night were done, mcsweeney definatly was,as much as I like rikki burbridge,he launched himself at our player and there was only one outcome,a bad injury.Spineless challenge that could of quite easily led to a red card, still,it puts Thurrock in a better position for the trophy game and that's obviously what counts, getting an unfair advantage
