National strike force

Just looking through the NLP I see they have a table of strikers who are "hot" at present in all non-league football.

The (below top 10 out of,at present, 61 players) was compiled before Saturdays matches so I would presume our Kwesi Appiah is now on top of the pile.

Headline actually says "Ace Kwesi is so much Appiah now".

Well done Kwesi & keep it going.

The actual table comprises of scores (not included on here) added up to make a total (not included on here) for Penalties,Hat-Tricks,Consecutive scoring matches,Total scoring matches,FA Cup,FA Trophy.

TOP 10

01) Jon Shaw (Gatshead)

02) Kwesi Appiah (Margate)

03) Drew Roberts (Bedford Town)

04) Adam Boyes (Barrow)

05) John Frendo (Hitchen Town)

06) Damien Reeves (Altrincham)

07) Jason Walker (York City)

08) Connor Jemnnings (Stalybridge)

09) Phil Marsh (Stalybridge

10) Jamie Vardy (FC Halifax/Fleetwood Town)

Kwesi, before Saturdays matches was only two points off the leader.

Whilst he plays at a higher level-Vardy is being touted at minimally £150K and is 24.

So if you were manager/chairman at a div one club-would you go for vardy at £150K-or take a risk on Kwesi at probably £20K ?

Now he has got league goals under his belt-Kwesi really will be in the spotlight-hope it does not effect his game

1) Kwesi APPIAH (Margate)

2) Jon SHAW (Gateshead)

3) Frannie COLIN (Tonbridge Angels)

3) Warren BYERLEY (Weymouth)

3) Damien REEVES (Altrincham)

Is it somewhat ironic that i believe the one person ahead of him in the 'charts' is that Shaun Welford- but they don't include ryman south goalscorers.

Shaun has re found his shooting boots (as i thought he would) and i think has actually got more than Kwesi.

I think defences are slightly poorer in ryman south though-so Kwesi's remains the better achievement (lets hope Margate can pull a `ryman south defence apart tonight )
