Had a message last night

Eastside Urchin

From an anonymous source, saying that Thurrock had let their facilities out AGAIN on Tursday, knowing they could of had a game with us.

This is the real reason the game is to be played tonight, because the money is too good to turn down.Apparently this person at the Essex FA knows this and is sympathetic towards Thurrocks cause.

I am not sure what team we will put out tonight, hopefully a fringe one to be honest but I urge everyone to get down there to A) get behind the team and B) show our anger at the way our club has been treated

It also appears that after lying to us about Thurrock having an FA Youth Cup game tomorrow night, they haven't,they then back tracked and the official reason they won't play tomorrow is that 3 of their directors have tickets for England V Sweden.

I can only assume that they are guests of this mysterious man from the Essex FA,which is why he stepped in to make sure they could make the game tonight.

I am so glad we have complete cnts like this in charge of our county game.No wonder they got the Cup Final switched at the last minute,I wonder how much was exchanged in reddies?

We played Saturday,Thurrock didn't,you do the maths!!

I couldn't give a flying fck about England to be honest

The English FA can't complain about corruption within FIFA when it happens in the county game

Scum

Doing a romford is not paying to get in or refusing to go in

I was quite happy to pay to get in and buy a drink in your bar last Tuesday and will do so again when Romford have an away day that doesn't involve a long drive. I'm sure all our other supporters feel the same, and what may have happened in the past was a long time ago. IMO its time that all local non league clubs made an effort to build bridges because for an extra few quid we can always go to D&R and watch a much higher quality football match in a better atmosphere generated by attendances we can only dream of.

Website doesn't make any distinction for Esc games, presumably they'll be fielding a first team and that's' gonna cost the likes of me and your dad £7 each.....daylight robbery. Hope is we can get revenge by stuffing them bigtime.

Mark Southgate is the secretary at Thurrock now. He was kicked out of Tilbury because of dodgy dealings down there.

Mark was a very hard working secretary at Tilbury FC and I'd very surprised if he was involved in anything underhand.

I wouldn't, and going by the goings on at Thurrock over this game, i would be right !!!!!

Fair enough Bob but it's one thing pulling a stroke to give your team an unfair advantage (Though not right), but that's not the sort of thing your chairman is going to sack you for, as Robbie Nash did. I suppose it depends on what is meant by "dodgy dealings"!

Anyway, I'm glad you turned them over, good luck v Colchester.
