IT COULD TURN OUT THAT GRAVESEND RUN OUT OF FORM BECAUSE THEY WILL HAVE TO SQUEESE IN THE GAMES THAT THEY HAVE MISSED JUST LIKE CANVEY DID LAST SEASON SO IT LOOKS LIKE THE TITTLE IS OURS AND LETS HOPE THAT LOTS MORE GRAVESEND MATCHES GET CALED OFF !!!!!!!!!!!!

And we Gravesend supporters were told on an earlier thread that we wereobviously worried because we were hoping that Canvey games were called off !!<p>Get real - we have to play 2 games a week for the rest of the season, yes - but then Canvey only have 3 extra midweek dates free, and 1 of those is taken by the Essex Senior Cup.<p>We still have the upper hand - we can only lose the league rather than Canvey win it - after all, if we won every game we had left, we will win the title - we could even afford to lose the game against you (which we wont !), as long as we win every other game.<p>We also still have 9 home games to come and 5 away, whilst Canvey's games are 5 home 5 away, so our games in hand are effectively home games.<p>As I've said before though, it will be close as I'm sure we will both drop points on at least one occassion before the season is out. It will be such a shame that one of us misses out, if we both get more than 100 points.<p>Lets just hope that the promotion spot is decided on the pitch and not by the wonderful officialdom that decides if grounds are up to Conference standards.<p>May the best team win at the end of the day.

Think about this Canvey fans - all 289 of you;<p>If we win our 4 games in hand, beat you on March 26th then match you result for result (no doubt we will both lose some) then we would win the league by 7 points.<p>Therefore destiny is in our own hands at the 'Fleet. Whichever way it goes, the fans at both Park Lane and Stonebridge Road are in for a nail-biting couple of months.<p>The best team will win and it's such a pity that only one can go up - let's be fair, when you look at the league table our two clubs have run away with it.<p>Canvey have taken their 'wobble'. Now everyone on our side of the river is waiting for you to falter, but then again we waited (in vain) for Farnborough to falter last season, but they didn't. Will it be different this season. I certainly hope so but you have been so consistent so far this season that I am now getting a bit nervous.<p>Merv CIFC
