A good report which sums it up

The Curley booking was a joke, the ball was kicked in his face and he put his hands up to protect his face, then Cowley the rat goes down like he has been shot and the yellow is awarded. Two minutes later, the little rat was on the floor again banging his hands to the floor because a player didn't get a booking.

As for Michael Spencers booking, was a foul but nothing else, except the concord luvvie goes down to miraculously walk off 1 minute later.

I don't agree with giving ex players grief but if Nicky Cowley wants to play like that,he gets all he deserves and more.Horrible little rat.

I can't believe that a decent manager like Rod Stringer, who should be managing in the conference now is letting himself get involved in such tactics, which clearly don't work once your cheat gets a yellow card himself.

Ironically,in the game they beat us we didn't see those tactics, then again Frankie Curley wasn't playing so they wasn't as scared

There was more Canvey fans there than Hornchurch, 100 behind the goal!!!!! Curleys booking was out of order, but the ref bottled it five minutes later when his next challenge was a definite booking! Cowley play acted all game and did his level best to wind you lot up! Concord deserved their half time lead, Steve King won every header he challenged for in that half and was awesome in the away box, probably the best headerer of the ball at this level! 2nd half you decided to play it on the floor a bit better and forced them into making mistakes, Curley was very good but I thought your best player and the MOM was Smith who caused Concord problems all day. Good game for a neutral.

I don't think they will go down,as i have said numerous times, when they beat us in the cup, they looked a very good side and i would suggest that because Frankie Curley didn't play they felt they had enough to match us in midfield without the play acting, which they did,in fact after the game, dale brightly said to me that as soon as they knew Frankie was out they felt up to it,that comment alone suggests they try to wind him up,in fact nicky even said as much to burford after the game saturday.

Only problem is,it doesn't work,3 times in the league he has played them and 3 times he has won, obviously continue with that tactic later in the season at the bridge but don't moan when he gets shed load of abuse, some not too pleasant every time he rolls around on the floor or bangs his arms down in frustration because the player isn't sent off.Whether you like it or not, football fans don't like ex players rolling up and trying to get our players sent off.

As for concord as a club,i don't mind them unlike some others on here, they have done well to get where they are and are not one of the worst 6 or 7 sides in the league, only problem is,when you can't win at home you will struggle to stay up but off the pitch they are a friendly enough bunch
