Slough v St Neots

i thought we throughly deserved to win BUT if not for 3 or 4 out of this world saves from Warrington they could have stolen at least a point. as said we could have had a few more goals

i must say we played really really well and pressed quickly all over the pitch and credit must be given to our players the hunger and desire was far higher than the disapointing St Neots performances. they didnt really seem up for it at all once we got in their faces and disrupted them. hopefully we can do this more and more to teams especially as the pitches start getting tougher. again fair play Bateman and the players got tactics spot on

Coyne was as good as he has been all season arguably SUPERB! Brown yet again awesome as were NBH (took his goal great) and Woozley

every player showed me they were determined and hell bent on their being only 1 winner. super performance and the sort of performance if replicated fairly often will get us win after win

COME ON YOU REBELS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WE ARE TOP OF THE LEAGUE SAY WE ARE TOP OF THE LEAGUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! long may it continue

Ian Oooops sorry typing too quickly But you know where I meant.Nathan .where on earth is the negativity regarding Slough? I say we are top again I praise the defence and the excellent goal difference and our record crowd cant see anything negative about that

Irishadrian, it wasn't what you were saying about Slough, but rather what you said about St. Neots. In any case, the post was tongue-in-cheek, so for that I apologise!

Returning to the game, we continue our excellent defensive record and stretch our unbeaten league run to 8 games, going back to Rugby Town on 10th September. I believe the last time we went on such a run was towards the back end of the 203/04 season, where we won 8 and drew 1 of our last 9 league games. Long may this continue!

Well done to all the players for an excellent performance today.

Warro deservedly MoM with Coyney a close second with another impressive all action performance.

Defence again solid with Adam Martin having his best game this season (shame he's now serving a 3 match suspension) and Swifty having a blinding second half.

St Neots best players were their keeper, again for some excellent saves and in the first half Pearson Maywonga.

Big test on Tuesday on the Northwood slope.

Yes Martin looked quite good today, a shame his ban starts Tuesday and is for 3 games but I am sure with Perkins, Logie and Byrne we will have adequate cover. On the FA website it also says Sean Sonner has a ban for one game which would be our game on the 26th, could be a chance for Charlie.

Nathan Actually its me who should apologize I had replied to your post before I saw the smiley face and realized it was a bit tongue in cheek However I wouldnt change my opinion of St Neots They are nothing like as good as their pre season hype suggested I would happily take a wager with you that they dont even make the play-offs.

Brilliant team performance.Took our chances, & soaked up everything that St.Neots threw at us in the second half. What a game from James Warrington. He reminds me of Paul Barron going back some seasons. My only concern is that some scouts may be sniffing around to prise him away.

I see on St.Neots website that some of them are blaming the state of the pitch for their performance. Was it really that bad?To get out of this league you have to adapt to pitches as well as opposition's tactics.

Well done Slough.Another 27 games of the same please.

Interesting to see on the St Neots forum bemoaning a lack of a plan B! Whilst it is true that they might have had a penanlty and they were unlucky with the posts, it is also true that we were unlucky to miss with two intercepts, a second from Abbey and maybe a weak penalty. Overall, Slough were much the better side today and played like they wanted to win. The whole team. James was mom for me, but Coyne, Sean and Alex were also fantastic. Probably best game I have seen at SYCOB. It is great how us guys seem to be getting behind the team now. You guys were great in the game and on the forum. Now that is an all round result.

UP THE REBELS

Well I wagered that we wouldn't make the play-offs last season, so you can understand why I'm reluctant to make any more wagers!

We were excellent today.

Warrington probably MoM just ahead of Coyne and Swifty a close third (IMO).

Thought that everyone was great and deserved to win. Also think that St Neots are a decent team but we just outclassed them today.

Unfourtunatly we will have some suspensions coming up soon but we have cover so we should be ok. and anyway anyone in our squad could play in the starting 11 everyweek.

Its still too early to predict who will win the league but if we carry on like this then i wouldn't bet against us. the test will be against Bedworth now, get a few points clear and don't look back.
