Its been coming. We have the most exciting squad we've had for a long time. hopefully the changes with Smelt, Johnson and Pulman out are minor changes to build for next season, but there is some quality on the bench too, and Robinson, Wilson and Robinson to come back in.

Well done to Margate today, the back room staff for their hard work which is beginning the pay off, and the board for re-appointing CK back in April. continuously brimming with optimism about MFC.

Its only one game & we did okay, not brilliant. Against a full strength Wingate the scoreline might have been different so lets not get carried away with the scoreline.Even with 10 men Wingate were still a threat & credit to them for trying to the end. 5-0 flattered us but 5-0 it was and yes they do deserve some credit for that. Concentration levels were good today also as with the extra man the players could so easily have switched but they didn't.Credit for that too. Some good well worked & taken goals today.

We now need to find consistency now & no matter how a win is achieved this could be the trigger to getting that consistency.Lets hope so.

Agreed cookie we werent that good against ten men, but good enough to score 5 which by the way cuts our deficit to zero. Need to sort our defence out big time cos we are looking a tad out of shape there but very happy with the result today ....

CMON YOU BLUES :)

Great win-but agree it is only one game.

Not there-so can't be specific-but is the marque of a half decent side-the ability to trample on the opposition when they are down.

And don't we normally fail to do so ?

If nothing else-it should increase the fee for Kwesi from £10K to £15K to help offset the usual cup exits

Got to love this irony! The Wingate preview on the official website for today's match said "Goal scoring at home seems to be a particular problem for the Kent side and they have hit the back of the net only five times, the second lowest total in the league."

Agree with "Cookie". Enjoyed the scoreline "BUT" on another day we would have been hard pressed. Good side W & F, would'nt mind a couple of their guys.

If you lot had someone worth 15k I think we may of noticed when we played you.I doubt there are any players in this league worth half that amount (with the exception of Lewis smith obviously)

Quite agree Rob, Kwesi is not worth £15k BUT is now worth at least £50k and a sell on clause for at least 50%.

Agree who would score the goals? If it was Conference South team what benefit to Kwesi as we will be there soon enough. If an offer was to come in selling would be a negative sign to fans and team. We need to keep a proven goalscorer at the club - there are not many out there and mid season hard to find.

But we will not be in the play-offs (and play-offs are no good anyway unless you actually win the play-off final.)

I suspect the club is not yet in a financial position to support conf sout;and you owe it to the player not to hold him back.

If -and its a big if-a bid did come along-always take the money.

Chris has confimed in a couple of interviews - the last one on Radio Kent - that he would not stand in Kwesi's way if an offer ofmr a leaguie club came in for him. Not that you'd expect anything different from him or the club. Having said that, it would of course, have to be the right offer for club and player.

Hence the minimun of £50k and 50% sell on clause. (mind you he could do a good job at Everton, Tottenham, Chelsea or Fulham at the moment).

Can't quite believe some of the comments on here. We won 5-0, what more do you want? I don't buy all this 'Oh, it could've been so different if they had 11 men' malarky, they didn't have 11 men, and rightly so. It was a certain penalty and, by the letter of the law, a definite sending off.

After that, we were disciplined, professional and ruthless. Restricted them to very few chances (can't really remember Overland having to make a save), and took our chances when they came.

It was a bad day at the office for them, granted, but - as the old adage goes - you can only beat what you're up against... and we did that with some ease.

Great result and performance, well done lads
