Hornchurch fan and local boxing legend Colin Lynes won his British welterweight title fight last night and is now the British Champion

Well done Colin,Top man and absolutely battered Purdy,although one judge somehow gave it as a draw

Perhaps we should get him over to the bridge to show his belt off to the crowd.

Well pleased for him - I was worried he may retire but he proved me wrong!

Would be great to see him over the club

I had a feeling he'd win, but it was a landslide wasn't it, how that judge (was it the one from Romford) could score that 114-114 is lost on me! Would be great if he could bring the belt over....

I met Colin at Campion a few weeks ago at their rugby festival, very nice family. He often helps on the PE side at the school, I'll ask whether my wife can ask about coming to our next home match, whenever that is.
