This is one for NIGEGUY, he is a ground hopper, albeit of the Premier kind :D . I'm sure he will have the full set of 'hopper clobber' too.

Hi YV 'hopper clobber' is that a balaclava, raincoat, gloves, chinos, ben sherman, braces, hob-nail boots and a harrington ?

NG, think you may have just exposed yourself!!! Now we all know what to look for, a supporter in a gimp mask, sorry, balaclava. ;)

Raincoat, exposed himself, Nice Guy. Wonder what BJR thinks of it all..........................

Well as of this season I am a groundhopper. I agree that in general they do have a stereotypical look however I've been told I don't look like one.... Yet.

And I hope no one says anything too negative, for me they are a vital and important part of non league football. Some games would have no one watching at all if it weren't for them!

once your funding runs out, you will be glad to take the 6 8 10 quid, at the gate. that these hoppers are willing to pay. not every now and then, 3/4 nights and sat and sunday. its there passion, think some of you could be bullies.

What you need to realise is that this topic is just light hearted banter, don't take it so serious !

I love ground hoppers ! they are very dedicated football fans and are vital to clubs funds and probably keep some clubs alive.

If you are are a ground hopper keep up the good work ! I salute you ! :)

I agree - this is a light hearted topic and no one can deny they bring money to the clubs.

They mainly keep themselves to themselves and having known one Wimbledon fan that did such groundhopping he wasn't some creepy weirdo that hadn't washed for two weeks clutching a Poundland bag and latching onto anyone normal looking to be their best buddy.

I bet most clubs would love it if 200 of them turned up for every home game........

If 200 of them turned up for every game, they wouldn't be groundhoppers anymore would they?

Went to watch Chertsey last night and the place was full of non league ground hoppers.(or as i call them Shillings )

Everyone of them had a rain mac, hat, limp and a plastic bag ! (the bag appeared to have a fizzy drink, sandwiches and a load of old programmes) Is this the outfit they were ?

I felt quite out of place in my 2011 clothes. Although they were all very quite when they spoke to each other they seem to talk in a differnt language. What a strange bunch they are !

Groundhoppers:Tell me your sercrets !

Yossa I am not having that........your clothes have never been from 2011!!

Sorry Fizzer that was a typo should have said 2001 ! Still look good though !

Surprised they still fit mate.......
