I honestly felt that we were by far the better side (at least in the second half) and thoroughly deserved all three points. AFC Hayes barely had an attack all match.

 

Trust a bunch of incompetent officials to ruin the game for us.

AFC Hayes.........a great advert for free flowing football and hospitality par excellance. You'd think 100+ extra spectators would be welcomed but all you get is sneering and abuse.

 

To make matters worse they snaffled a point thanks to an extremely poor refereeing decision. Two shots on target all night including the pen.

we wasnt exceptional but its true they barely attacked in the 2nd half and had 3 or 4 shots in the whole game. at 1-0 it looked impossible to see them even creating a good chance but up pops the ref to hand a thouroughly undeserved point to them. no wonder they looked so delighted

 

unfortunately with such bad officials you have to try and just ignore it and force the issue by making sure you get goals and the goal we got looked like it would easily be enough

 

in fairness we did get some ridiculously bad decisions go our way but silly fouls given when we had clearly slipped over doesnt come close in comparison to what was so so clearly a superb 1 on 1 stop by James Warrington resulting in the ball going away from the goal to the corner flag, being given as a pen. inexcusable and the assessor is a bigger disgrace than the 3 prats officiating if he gives any positive feedback whatsoever about their performance

 

a terrible place to go and play made even worse by 3 guys hell bent on destroying the game totally. so many things wrong; Corners, throwins, offsides, freekicks and penalties wrongly given time and time again

 

just hope we dont get this too often and we dont live to pay for this robbery

Stanley, AFC Hayes have no connection with the old Hayes. The old Hayes merged with Yeading to from Hayes& Yeading. AFC Hayes were formerly known as Brook House. A pub team which has battled their way through the leagues (all credit to them). However, the ground is a complete hole (inevitably this leads to the timeless "at least we've got one"), their fans tend to be pretty abusive often without reason and the pitch is terrible. However, they always get the ball down and try to play football which makes it a difficult place to go and they have got some upsets already in this league. Just a very frustrating team to play.

 

Also when they come to our place, they will bring exactly 2 fans all the way from Hayes.

They also have some pretty nasty people on the management team like the little old bald geezer who struts around the dug-out and pitch before, during and after the game threatening to punch someones lights out because he thinks he's heard a comment from an opposition supporter aimed at him.

But in all seriousness, two points dropped.. need to get that second killer goal next time. We take these lessons in to the next game. Let AFC Hayes have their point... playing like that, they won't get many more and will be well in our rear view mirror come next May.

They also have a guy about 70 years, quite tall , old who looks like Lurch. I heard him abusing our fans as we walked past the goal at the

end of the first half. He did the same last year as well. What makes me laugh about AFC Hayes is if that if they had any brains they

would encourage Slough fans to visit and make them welcome, if only to gain extra revenue.
