Maybe. It's not a big squad and Alex Jeffers has only played 30 mins football since he joined us - he will add some strength in depth to the forward line when fit. (Assuming he stays around.)

 

Truthfully either one of O'Toole or Romeo would have made a difference to the starting line up but both were rested so we were pretty toothless, (especially so after Abitogun got a bang on the head after 10 minutes and hardly knew where he was until subbed at half time).

 

Resting the strikers is fine by me as they are obviously scoring for fun in the League and I guess it makes sense to keep them, of all players, as fresh as can be for the winter slog.

 

That's my take on it anyway...

 

 

Thanks Roths for your take on Windsors depth in squad. One must assume that the CCL Premier Cup is not a priority for Windsor?

 

I suppose if necessary Windsor can always get players on loan or would they be liken and trust their youth team players, in their quest to be the Champions ?

We played a few youngsters early on but they weren't really ready and looked a bit out of their depth to be honest. Some of them have moved on already - I haven't kept tabs on them but am assuming to a lower level where they can hope for regular football which they were not going to get at Windsor.

 

From what I've heard recently the current Youth team has some very decent prospects - can't comment as I've not seen them myself but the encouraging reports might mean I drag myself down there some time soon. Who knows, maybe one or 2 might force themselves into the 1st team squad. Looks to me like it's a hard league to be a teenager unless you're a bit special though.

As I undersand it Grant Kemp and Cain whatever his name was to name but 2. (I'm sure you'd know better than me though so is my terrace talk info wrong?!!)

If you are talking about players in the youth team then Kane was one of them but his non-featuring is due to other reasons than moving on. As for Grant, he is still a registered player as far as I am aware with a few injury issues.
