Reserves V Faversham Town

As you can see on Home Page, the Reserves are at home to Faversham tonight in The Div 1 & 2 Cup. This will be the 3rd time this season already with Faversham having the upper hand so far.

What i can see is our squad getting stronger each week and with 2 new signings hopefully this will help. The 2 new signings are Zack Thomas, a pacy striker who has had a couple of spells at Ramsgate and Young 19 year old, Ryan Moore who has joined after being at Ramsgate ( playing in their FA Cup Replay with Whitehawk ) and also had a spell at Ebbsfleet Utd Reserves and also turning out for their 1st team in KSC.

What i would like to say is the attitude of the players is 100% and they will do all they can to get us our 1st win of the season.

A massive "YES" is the answer to that question Micheal.

A good solid display against a very good side at this level.

A much changed Gate team started nervously, lacking confidence which, happens when teams change and are coming of long runs of defeats. As the game progressed the lads started to look a team. They went 1 - 0 down. Instead of panicking they lifted their heads and played some good passing football.

They came out 2nd half and for 20 minutes dominated the game. Margate had a goal disallowed for offside (also had 2 penalty calls - one a cert not given-). Faversham broke shortly after , the forward broke through the defence for a one on one with the gate keeper "Joe Silver". The keeper stayed on his line giving the striker the full goal as target. 2-0.

Margate to their credit continued to spray the ball around, getting a goal as reward.

Looking at the fixtures, this in normal terms should have been the last game of a busy pre season. If that had been the case I think the league and cup games would have been different.

Welcome to the club, Zac Thomas and Ryan Moore.
