Midweek Fixtures & Results (Tuesday 8th & Wednesday 9th November)

Yes, that's a poor attendance isn't it for the prestigious London FA Senior Cup, Haringey & Waltham Development should feel ashamed

feck off Rhodes............when was the last time you were associated with a club that attracted double figure attendances?

It sounded like Cranfield United just capitulated in extra time:

Winslow Boy - What do you mean, it was 2-2 at 90 minutes and Cranfield ended up losing 6-2, maybe Stuart Reynolds went off injured which would explain it

Typical of you Rhodes, talking utter cr*p as always. Nothing to do with the fact that maybe Broxbourne wanted it more and were maybe the better team on the night. Note the use of the term 'maybe', like you I wasn't at the game so do not have the facts.

Karen - You're just speculating aren't you, how do you know Broxbourne wanted it more

Wednesday 9 November

Challenge Trophy Third Round

1 2 Hadley v Biggleswade United (aet)

33

A report on this one from another's Forum:

Wednesday 9th November

Spartan South Midlands League Challenge Cup 3rd Round

Hadley (0)1 Biggleswade United (1)2 KO 19:45 Att'ce 33

After Extra Time, Score after 90 minutes 1-1

Admission £5 Programme £1 Tea £1

Biggleswade made hard work of winning this game and should have had it wrapped up inside 90 minutes. Their midfield play was superior to Hadley's and although both sides created chances the visitors had the better of them.

As it was it took Biggleswade 32 minutes to open the scoring with a header by Ibby Fuseini at the far post following a cross from the right. But they squandered second half chances to put the game to bed and they paid for that when 13 minutes from the end Hadley equalised direct from a 25 yard free kick by Sean Ridgeway that seemed to go through the Biggleswade wall.

Like some other posters I'm not a fan of extra time and even less of penalties, so I was just hoping that someone, anyone saved us from trial by spot kick. My hopes looked to have been dashed as the clock ran down but a minute from time Biggleswade's Jaward latched onto a through ball and slid the ball under the keeper for the winner.

At least the M25 was clear on the way home so I was home by 23:45.
