I think we are better than Hartley, when we played them away we were 2-1 up and cruising to victory and then Hartley got a lucky VERY late one ( last kick of the game ) in injury time.

 

It will be a different story at Footes Lane, We WON'T make the same mistake twice

 

I was at this Game GD - Hartley were all over you for a 20 minute spell in the 1st half - had it not been for your young keeper you could quite easily have been 2 or 3 goals down. You improved immensely after your green kit arrived at half-time though. 2-2 was the right result on the night.

Can Hartley be the first away team to score at Footes Lane?

 

What was the score against Ash then HKP?

I am amazed that everyone has assumed (see thread entitled so Guernsey have won the league etc...) that Guernsey will will the league, when HW are clearly a quality side as not only their run in the cups has shown, but also their start in the league. Yes Guernsey have the points in the bag for the extra games they have played, but I think HW will win all their games in hand. They have an excellent set up and from an outsider's point of view, a management team that will not let them have an "off" day. They are aiming big and fair play to them.

 

The 2-2 draw was a fair result I would say, and playing at Foote's Lane will probably suit HW more than most as they play some good football. I think it will be a very close game, probably a score draw. Guernsey play in form Warlingham the weekend before as well, so a massive week for them.

 

Guernsey and HW will between them finish 1st and 2nd I am sure. The race for 3rd is the exciting one though, with form teams Warlingham, Eversley and Spelthorne battling it out with the much vaunted Bedfont, and Staines. My tip is Eversley to come through.

I think Hartley Wintney may just have a bit too much to do and their excellent cup runs may come back and bite them. They are certainly a very good side and if anyone from Div 1 is going to beat GFC at Footes Lane this season then I think HW are the team who could achieve this.....but I can't see them winning ALL their games in hand.

 

I'm sticking with my prediction of 1. Guernsey, 2. Bedfont and 3. Eversley.

You are right Hartley won't win all their games in hand.

We have won our last 7 in the league, but can we delete this thread as I want to stay off the radar.

You are definitely on the radar in Guernsey ! we know you have the games in hand, we know you are title contenders, destiny is in yours own hands. I still believe we will beat you at home at Fortress Footes Lane. I also think you will be runners up and get promoted.
