Billy Cove bags another 2

When the Brentwood team walked onto the pitch it was embarassing their shorts were VERY see through! Hope the ladies and those who swing that way enjoyed the view!

 

The pitch was a dusk bowl but we did well. Billy Cove and Lee Smith excelled for me. Billy had a dipping shot saved by the keeper in the first half and then scored an almost identical header on the 34th minute. Brad Brotherton went up for a 50:50 ball with the keeper who did well to save it.

 

1 - 0 at half-time. Second half we felt a bit sluggish getting going and Bretwood had about 10 minutes when they looked like getting on equal terms. Eventually our brains came out of the dressing room and we settled into a similar pattern to the second half. Billy Cove then broke free to be one on one with the keeper and scored. 2 - 0.

 

Lee Smith then had two very good chances to score but passed them on to Billy to give him a chance of a hat-trick which unfortunately wasn't to be. The heavens opened during the second half and the pitch seemed to change colour beofre our eyes. Still a bit dusty though.

 

I enjoyed the game and the 3 points were an added bonus.
