How many corners??????

I lost count of the chances that we threw away from the set plays a corner provides and when I say threw away I mean we didnt capitolise on their frailties in defence. Hopefully CK will bring on our secret weapon of Bodders to rip their defence apart.

Funny how we see things different.

I thought the wealdstone defence (and keeper ) were very solid throughout-,and as much as we had a number of corners-the wealdstone defenece coped admirably-and frankly-i think it is more of a case of credit to their defending at the death-rather than our poor finishing.

Yes-DS's set plays were pretty good ( i remember being lamblasted on here when i dared to say Bodkins were very average),but whilst delivered to the right spot-they did 'loop' a bit.

Would a fiercer /harder delivery have enabled the likes of Cloke and robinson to run onto and attack the ball-as opposed to waiting for it to come to them-making it easier to defend ?

Why does Pooley not go forward for set plays ?

I sort of agree-but at the same time-have seen us concede goals at set plays where the opposing team really 'attack' the delivery-with up to three guys running onto the ball;with two peeling away at the last second- ;as opposed to waiting for the ball to arrive

If you had Cloke,Avery and Robinson running full pelt together like exocets from the edge of the 18 yard box towards the 6 yard box to attack the ball,-that would be pretty scary;with two pulling away, leaving one to get their head to the ball and head it into the corner;i'm not sure too many defences would cope.
