The Race for the Bottleneck (Premier Champions)

As per the comments in the Tuesday thread it'll be unnerving for some how Windsor have crept up the table after their unimpressive start to sit third and within three points of Guildford City who early on looked to be running away with it. Camberley who looked to be the main challengers have dropped to eighth. Horley had a good run and Egham are now nicely sitting in second. And due to cup exploits, Hanworth Villa are in ninth but if they won their games in hand, they'd be top!

PPG table (top half):

Guildford City 2.3

Egham and Hanworth Villa 2

Windsor 1.9

Horley 1.85

South Park 1.7

Badshot Lea and Molesey 1.6

Camberley and Wembley 1.5

Thoughts?

Well, well, we have a new leader in Egham although Guildford would go back top with a win in their game in hand. They play before all the others next Friday so they could go back top then depending on which Badshot Lea team turns out.

Windsor have snuck into second.

After a stuttering start Windsor seem to be getting into top gear and, possessing the most prolific attack and most miserly defence, I suspect would now be bookies' favourites.

Most goals scored per game - Egham and Windsor

Least goals conceded per game - Windsor

Best goal difference - Windsor

Highest Average Attendance - Windsor

Highest Indiv Goalscorer - O'Toole, Windsor

and, perhaps of some relevance as the winter trudges on....

Best pitch - Windsor

and, definitely of no relevance whatsoever but indisputable nonetheless...

Best pies - Windsor

Long way to go RR.

I expect the likes of Guildford City, Egham Town and Camberley Town to be there or thereabouts. Who I am concerned about is Hanworth Villa. I concede points in the bag is always better to have than games in hand but they are on an amazing run. On top of that, I fully expect there to be a club to make a late run.

rother have you visited all coco prem grounds to taste the pies or see there pitch ?

I have been to all of Windsor's away games, bar one, and have not seen pies on sale. What I will say is that the pies at Windsor are excellent. Even my missus who makes a damn good pie likes them!

As for pitches, the only one I have seen so far to be anywhere near the quality we have at Stag Meadow was at Wembley.
