lewes tonight

First half we were poor, too much long ball and a dreadful defensive mix up failing to clear from a cross - pinball in our box and they score! Don't recall their keeper having a shot to save. Bradbrook went off injured and was replaced by Curtis. Second half we were completely transformed and dominated for large spells - curtis and Kwasi were excellent up top and I though Ball and Corneille were good pushing forward but we just could not get that goal. We had one cleared off the line and then Curtis headed in from a free kick at the far post but was controversially ruled offside and their keeper was equal to everything else. Then they break and smash a 25 yard screamer into the top corner - they certainly weren't any better than us but you have to take your chances and play for 90 mins not 45! The most disappointing aspect was the poor quality of delivery of the final ball - we sorely missed the injured bodkin and wilson in that department.

First half I thought was very even. Beales should have scored with a header and there was that incident when their keeper came out and Curtis seemed to jump out of his way. Then again their guy (Malcolm) missed when clean through just before half-time.

Second half, yes, we played well. Loads of possession and some good chances. Really should have scored. Their goal was, I think, their only shot on target that half.

It may not have quite worked out tonight, but i like the way the midfield was set up (on paper anyway )

I assume Stubbs,,corneille,avery, johnson.

A few battlers/workers in there-just right imo for games away from home-

Interested to hear how it worked in practice

If played up front-curtis will have just about played in every position.

Very valuable player imo.

Did he look the part on tuesday night ?

In fact -i could see him doing well as a striker-good in air/can finish/and is mobile.

That given-with a few notable exceptions-was'nt everybody raving about Pulman when he was signed ? mmmmm
