If you have a Player sent off it is a fact the Player will be suspended 21 days after the date of the game.

You will receive the following information from your County Association:

 Letter from your County Association providing details of the charge

 Reply form

 Copy of the Match Officials report on which the charge is based

To clarify, a Player who is sent off playing for his Club on a Saturday will be suspended only from

Saturday football until the Player has served the correct amount of qualifying matches for that type of football.

A Player who is sent off on a Sunday, will be suspended only from Sunday football, therefore will be able to continue

playing for their Saturday side, whilst the suspension is being served.

A game that is classed as a ‘double header’ where teams play each other twice on the same day is classed as two

matches. A Player can therefore serve their final suspension on the first game, and be eligible to play in the second

game.

Wrongful Dismissal

(You must provide DVD/Video footage that the Match Official made a serious and obvious error in dismissing the Player

from the field of play)

A dismissal from the field of play for S6 (using offensive language and/or insulting and/or abusive language and/or

gestures) or S7 (receiving a second caution in the same match) is not within the criteria for a claim.

A Club must, within one working day of the match, notify the County Association of their intention to lodge a claim. They

must submit to the County Association a DVD/video recording, which shows the full incident leading to the dismissal of

the Player, together with written reasons for the claim of wrongful dismissal, any supporting evidence and the relevant

appeal within three working days.

Please be aware that the DVD/video must show that the Match Official made a serious and obvious error.

If a claim is successful the appeal fee will be returned and the suspension/fine will be removed from the Player’s record.

However, the details of the dismissal will remain.

Multi Player Misconduct

Any Club who has six or more individual Players cautioned or dismissed from the field of play in the same match will

be automatically fined as per the table below. Please note that the team must be playing at the level detailed below to be

subject to the fines.

For each time you have more than half of your team disciplined in a game the fine will increased based upon what the

first sanction was.

1st Occasion in Season, 2nd Occasion in Season, 3rd Occasion in a Season, 4th Occasion in a Season

Step 5 & 6 £150 £300 £450 £600

Step 7 £75 £150 £225 £300

I never thought this was the case, I was always thought you were suspended from ALL football, unless this depends on the incident!? Feltham's Steve Coultas was suspended for 35 days from all football earlier this season after a red card last season playing Sunday football.

So on that note, do yellow cards on a Saturday and Sunday rack up together or could a player get four yellows with Saturday and then four with Sunday and not serve any suspension?

Interesting find Dan!

The suspension was from all football as the offences took place last season and therefore before the new ruling came into effect.

A player could get eight yellows (four on Saturday, four on Sunday) without receiving a suspension.

The case for a suspension from all football now is a Sine Die suspension.

However a word of caution, only last week I was told of one of our players being suspended Sine Die although we were not aware of any cases against him. Upon asking my local FA I was told this was due to an offence he received play Sunday football, his Sunday club had not paid the fine and there was nothing we (as his Saturday club) could do. So in effect we were penalised because of another club's non-actions. It involved numerous frantic phone calls and e-mails over the weekend to resolve the matter so we could play him this evening.

YOu are becoming quite a fan of us Karen. Please dont bring Rhodes over with you though !!!

I would be inclined to ring the FA and ask if that is the case cos I am still fairly sure a ban is a ban from all football.

I will try not to bring your friend over LOL.

Yes I have an interest in the CCL as I am following Guernsey's progress in their new venture (of which I am in full agreement of a club trying to improve themselves) although reading on here it has brought about many mixed feelings.

With regards to the suspension, our pressure brought about the Sunday club paying the outstanding fines, had they not done so then you are right we would have been without a key player this evening.

Going back to the new discipline brought in this season, I can see many headaches for clubs, local FA's alike with this Saturday/Sunday football suspensions. I feel that the governing bodies may have brought about a rod for their own backs.

And speaking as a club secretary - its a case of added work checking player's disciplinary records.

This sort of thing happens so often it's ridiculous. It is nigh on impossible for clubs to fully check these sorts of things as the FA has still not (as far as i know) created a UK-wide database of suspensions. You still have to check in with individual FAs. However getting the truth out of players can be an issue so how can you know which counties to phone?!

Chippenham's case recently is a good case in point. They were thrown out of the Cup and lost money becuase of an illegible player but how could they know when the guy was using pseudonyms!!

Karen surely it is the Players responsibility to pay any fine owed. That is if he is aware of owing any fine.Do club secretaries inform the player of how much the fine was, what the offence was,and his appeal time span.I dont think the F.A.'s send details to players anymore, just Clubs.

Yes you are right the club secretary does indeed follow that procedure however in this case (certainly not the normal), the club in question pay all the fines as they don't charge the players any subscriptions. However the said secretary of the club shall we say has a bit of history for failing to keep up to date with his admin and as a such the players fines were increased through non-payment and again this was somehow missed by the secretary (to give him the benefit of doubt) hence a further fine was imposed and with it came the Sine Die suspension, thus affecting my club. We as a club had thought of just paying the fine (assuming it was just for the booking) however with the increased levy of fine we decided against this in principal.

T.C. are you enrolling in a Refs course?

why would I do that Smudge. Once in 1995 was enough and I don't have any intentions to referee again so did not register with the County FA this year. Two years on the spin not doing it means I lose my qualification (I assume that is still the case). I couldn't be bothered to do all the mucking about with the Child Safety Workshop again.Weebs - when you work in the middle of a cemetery, you need to pass the time at work!

Discrimination surely if they charged them more,if you get a Parking Ticket the cost would be the same if you were driving a Roller or a Skoda.
